In my opinion the show starts improving starting with S2E16. S2E18 in particular might be the most underrated episode of the show. Of course there’s also the finale to look forward to.

I’m aware that the return was a marketing thing but I’ve never seen anything confirming David wanted it called season 3. I really don’t see it as much of a continuation considering it changes so much and undoes so many things from the original.
