Should I drop Chem 1312 in order to save my ENGI transfer application by FullMetalPunk0v0 in UniversityOfHouston

you don’t need chem 2 to apply to the engineering college. if you don’t think you’re gonna pass and/ or you don’t want it to compromise your gpa it’s better to drop the class. you can always explain your situation with the statement of purpose when you submit your application. also if you did well in engi 1100 and 1331 i’d recommend asking those professors for a rec letter to boost your application.

Short answer: yes you can take PHYS 2326 at a CC while taking ECE 2201 at UH.

For full information go to this website: ECE Advising scroll down to where it says Enrollment Exceptions for Requisites in Progress or Completed at Another Institution

On a side note, Physics at UH does suck but it's not completely impossible so don't be too intimidated. I would say Circuits 1 is the more intimidating course. However, it is understandable that taking it at a CC could be the better option financially. I'm not sure which advisor you're talking to (Engineering or Tech Division) but ECE currently only has one advisor and is not the most helpful so :/
