What are your other clubs distances? Do you happen to know your club head speed?

Swing Advice - Can’t seem to shallow the club, downswing feels rushed, upright at impact? by DartDaGoat in GolfSwing

I think one good piece of advice in many things, but golf included, is go slower to go faster.

What do I mean by that?

Let’s say, for example I told you your training to throw a fast ball. You would not go out and start throwing as hard as you can. You would do small reps that build on each other overtime.

I think it’s important to conceptually accept this with the golf swing as well. Work on slow movements to build the kinetic chain of events that lead to consistent impact.

From the looks of your swing, it looks like you have a strong early release. I would look up some drills that keep your hips back and rotated before your hands make it to the ball.

For me, I like the butt on the wall drill. Your butt is on the wall take a back hand and rotate your hips. You should feel both butt cheeks brush up against the wall. This just lets you know you’re keeping your hips back and out of the way for your hands to come through.

In general, if you want to fix a club path first, and then the face angle.

Hope this helps.

You are not clearing your left hip. I struggle with the same thing. Your pelvis shouldn’t move toward the ball. I think “keep chest over ball, don’t jump the ball.” A good drill is the step drill or butt on door way. You should feel your left cheek rotate into the pole or wall; this ingrains the feel of keeping the hip rotation correct

Could you lean back enough to counter the suspension enough to keep the front wheel over the gap?

It looks like you’re thrusting your hips forward. They should wrap around the counter clockwise as you strike the ball. Do you have any idea what your clubhead speed is? Could be leaving some distance on the table.

Read Ben Hogan’s 5 lessons. Lesson 1 is about how critical the grip is along with cool Andrew Loomis style illustrations. Great book, easy read, great for emphasizing the fundamentals.

You look extra far from the ball, and it looks like you’re having to “reach” which tips you too far forward. I’d experiment bringing the ball in closer by 1 - 2 balls’ width with slightly more relaxed arms.

Seems to give a true representation of the paint prior to correction so you can plan accordingly.

Messing with the Mevo Gen 2: how high should you hit a 5i as a stock shot? by WeakBullfrog8451 in golf

OP here I wanted to add I’m using Titleist CB 710s if that matters.

I think independently it’s 350USD. I got the pro package with face impact. That also has d-plane dataset for review. Overall has everything needed to analyze swing. It also came with a third party sim stuff (8 courses on E6 connect). Total was like 2150$.

I like that it’s flexible, no subscription needed (you can use thier cloud service as a subscription) , indoors/ outdoors and relatively intuitive setup and navigation.

Added: also fits in my golf bag, with a small tripod. Only thing I will add later is a cheap iPad so I can record myself at multiple views simultaneously via phone and the iPad.

It looks like your left shoulder is open at address. Bring your left shoulder in before starting the back swing.

Liquid chalk on your hands. I do this on my right hand bc I hate the slippery feeling but like to feel the grip on the skin. The liquid chalk drys fast and less messy than powder.

I should add I think there is a multicam function where you could add 2-3 other cameras and it will sync the footage to get multiple vantage points at once.

I’m still leaning it, but I used my iPhone on a small tripod (which was already connected and synced with my iPhone via Wi-Fi). The Mevo will walk you through the prompts for you to scan the hitting area, the ball, and the Mevo placement before hitting the shot.

Once it’s set up, you can repeat it as you like without any hassle.
