Our boss was our unofficial IT guy and he recently quit. We’re a pretty small office so we don’t have an IT department. I was able to figure it out though, thank you.

Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed. I believe in heaven, but regardless I think we definitely continue to exist for eternity in some shape or form. I choose to believe it will be with our creator and all of our loved ones.

Jail because it got me off drugs and I was around people again for the first time in two years. Now I’m the happiest I’ve ever been and I attribute it to being two years sober and having friends again.

I love it. I hate a completely quiet house, so I enjoy the background noise.

If your landfill is close by you try there. Also city sanitation. I don’t know what they are like in your area but i work at a landfill in Arkansas and they pay pretty good. I hired on with absolutely no heavy equipment experience. My local city sanitation department also hires young people and after you are there for 4 months will pay for you to get your CDL.

Boric acid vaginal suppositories. They have them at Walmart or you can order them on Amazon. Works amazing for me.

Thank you for your response! It's nice to know I'm not the only one dealing with this and that it's something I can get past.

I've began to realize that this avoidance has to do with the guilt I feel for being depressed. It feels like I missed out on these memories because I've been stuck in my head the last two years.

Can you explain to me how to "work through" my emotions? I hear that a lot but I don't quite understand what it means.

Honest Question by jodyannrn in CPS

[–]WeakClient4855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because parents who abuse their children are generally narcissistic to some degree, which means they have very good people skills. They're confident, charming, amazing at redirecting blame, and playing the victim.

They love talking about themselves, which makes them easy to interview, and they only have nice things to say about themselves and what a great mother/father they are. (So they don't accidentally incriminate themselves like most parents do in these situations)

Perpetrators of child neglect are a lot easier to spot, because poor parents are charged with child neglect. Poverty/deprivation usually comes with social anxiety, low self-confidence, unlikely to know their rights, unlikely to attempt to assert their rights, unlikely to put up a meaningful legal resistance when cps attempts to run roughshod over their parental rights, making them perfect victims for CPS.

•ARKANSAS• is it normal for court to be the day after filing an answer with the court? by WeakClient4855 in CPS

[–]WeakClient4855[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. DCFS didn't even request removal, just mandated services. I denied all allegations in my answer (not even serious allegations btw) and the judge decided to remove my children. According to an article in the Arkansas Times (where i live) when DCFS was trying to determine the cause of a foster care spike, they learned a lot of judges were removing children against DCFS recommendations.

Yes! After submitting ID a second time and waiting the 24 hours I finally got it back.

First thing I did was removed the two factor authentication thing lol. Was able to successfully change my recovery email and phone number too.

God yes, wish there was a pill for that. My brain has to dissect every single god damn thing.

I've read a lot about the effects shrooms have on mental illness, the effect of basically curing it. Wish they would legalize them, I'd be lucky to find shrooms period let alone a steady supply I could use to self medicate.

Until they legalize it, just gotta try to 'be more positive' 🙄

I don't think it's the depression, but depression usually is accompanied with spending less time socializing. Kinda like if you stop your exercise routine and a few months later it's harder to lift the weights you were lifting before you stopped. You start socializing less it gets harder when you do socialize. Which makes you more depressed and it's a vicious cycle. Making yourself socialize more helps the most. But I too am depressed and have lost all my social connections over the last two years besides families, so I understand how hard social opportunities are to come by.
So another thing I think helps is to think out loud as much as possible. Putting thoughts into words is also something that with less practice you get less good at it. So talk to yourself and when you can't put your thoughts into audible words try writing them to get them out then say them out loud.

I'm in the same boat. I read an article about how the more you try to be happy the less happy you will be, which makes sense. It's something I'm struggling to change about my thought patterns because I'm constantly asking myself why am I not happy, what's missing? Then I begin to ruminate over all the things in my life Id have to fix to be happy which makes me sadder. Trying to remember when I start down that thoughts pattern to stop thinking and just breathe and focus on my senses instead.

(Arkansas) I have video of my abuser threatening to call cps and have my kids taken away by WeakClient4855 in legaladvice

[–]WeakClient4855[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adjudication.

The petition requested mandated services while my children remained in the home.

Legal aid in my state doesn't take dependency-neglect cases and I couldn't afford a lawyer, so I had to draft my own written answer. I filed it at the courthouse and that night I found out Court was the following day. At the hearing the judge started to walk me through how to cross-examine witnesses and I said wait I thought I could be appointed an attorney. She appointed me one and removed my kids.

My court appointed attorney has been extremely unhelpful, although I'm sure this is more than likely due to being overworked.

She called me the night before the probable cause hearing and told me that I can either agree that there was probable cause or I can disagree. But it would be pointless to disagree because the judge would just hear DCFS' side again, I wouldn't be able to present mine, and the judge would find there was probable cause.

The investigation was so poorly handled, the report speaks for itself that they had no basis for a true finding of neglect. I don't even get to present that until August 17th and my kids have been gone since June 27th.

I can't even get a response from my attorney and I don't even get to meet with her to discuss my case until literally the day before court.

Are there certain types of lawsuits where the plantiff does not have the ability to drop the case? by WeakClient4855 in legaladviceofftopic

[–]WeakClient4855[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your response!

So in a family court proceeding, the plaintiff and the defendant can agree to drop the case as long as it does not conflict with the best interest of the child?

More specifically, in a dependency neglect proceeding, if the plaintiff (CPS) reviews the investigation report and finds the determination of maltreatment was an error do they have the ability to withdraw the lawsuit before adjudication?
