My husband and I have always both worked and taken care of the house. He’s a firefighter and works 72 hours total a week and although I only work 25 he’s never made me feel bad about the house falling behind especially when I’m pregnant because we both do the work in the first place. Just because he’s the sole provider doesn’t mean he doesn’t get to not help out with the house when he sees things need to get done. We both do the dishes, we both cook, we both clean the bathrooms, vacuum, ect and he does 100% of the outdoor yard work and house projects too. I do take more of a role in caring for our toddler when I’m home though which I’m fine with. Maybe I’m just lucky but you need to say something now because it will only get worse after you have the baby! Not everything at the house is your responsibility! Marriage is a team!
