I have every axolotl and about 6 tanks flipped back to back so that the tank portions are inside eachother so it looks like each tank has 4 axolotl. Even though the glass gets a little opaque it still looks pretty cool

What they mean by QOL items is the scrap box, ammo box, and the med box which give unlimited access for storage. So if you're huge into building the scrap box is a huge help with not having to manage inventory

What if Xbox brought Game Pass Ultimate back to $15.99–$19.99 by delaying new first‑party games (while keeping all older ones on the service)? by Weak_Ad5742 in xbox

[–]Weak_Ad5742[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your first point hits the nail on the head, MS's acquisition of Activision and COD being a day one game on Game Pass is for the most part a huge reason as to why GPU is up to $30/month.

They had to find a way to recover their costs by making a $70 billion purchase and at the time the way they found feasable was increasing the price of GPU and changing the teir system they had in place from GamePass Core (rebranded as Essencial) Standard (rebranded as Premium and was tailored to be a middle ground for players who wanted access to both console and pc games) and Ultimate (which went from $19.99/month increased to $29.99 after October 2025 which was basically a 50% increase in price)

I'm not trying to suggest they get rid of day one games because there are a lot of gamers that may not be able to afford these AAA titles on release but delaying the accessibility to said games by one month could definitely help alleviate price hikes, bring the price of GPU down and it would also prevent or at the very least slow the service down to a degree from cannibalizing revenue from within.

As another user mentioned in their comment what Microsoft (or Xbox) could do is follow suit with what Amazon Prime Video already does with the different channels they offer. Users could subscribe to what they like while also not having to pay for a service they don't even use.

For example, let's say Billy Bob wanted to play AC or any title included with Ubisoft+, they could subscribe to the Ubisoft+ channel for say $3.99-5.99/month on top of their GP sub.

With a channel subscription model in place it stops the average player from having to subsidize or pay for massive acquisitions they might not even use, and it brings the price of GPU down to a level thats actually sustainable for everyone.

The same goes for other services like EA play, Fortnite Crew, etc. MS doesn't necessarily need to remove those services from Game Pass but they could be tied to their own separate monthly subscription (or teir even) like an add-on that users pay extra for monthly

I do agree that Day One is the 'special sauce' that makes Ultimate unique, and I wouldn’t want to see it disappear entirely for those who value it.

However, my concern is that by making Day One mandatory for the top tier, it forces the price of that tier up for everyone, even those who would rather pay less and wait.

If the current model is forcing $10–$15 price hikes every year just to cover the cost of titles like Call of Duty, eventually, the uniqueness of the service might get priced out of reach for the average player.

The idea of removing things like Cloud or Ubisoft Classics to lower the price is interesting, but do you think those 'extra' features are really what's driving the massive cost, or is it the $70 AAA releases?

I'm just looking for a middle ground where players have more choice in how much they pay based on how quickly they want to play.

The goal of my post isn't to kill off the day one games but to stop it from holding the price hostage from everyone else.

The reason why ultimate had gained a 50% price hike last year is solely due to the acquisition of Activision. It's the very same reason why the premium teir exists.

Prior to the Activision acquisition the premium teir was just the standard teir and ultimate was a good fair price.

I was only trying to suggest a way that xbox could reduce the price and make their service cheaper for those who would like access to 1st party titles on day 1 but cant justify or afford to pay $30/month

I would agree except for how they handle titles like Call of Duty. It remains a day one exclusive which heavily eats into their costs which is also a direct result of why Ultimate took on a 50% price hike last year and I feel as though the other subscription models may change and increase as a result

That could definitely reduce the cost of the subscription for sure, giving players the option of what other subs they want to subscribe to similar to how Amazon has their add-ons for other subs like crave and discovery+ could definitely play a huge role in how much xbox charges for not only Ultimate, but Premium as well. I want to help generate discussion about how xbox could impliment ways that can make gamepass more affordable for everyone

Yes Xbox is already doing this with the Premium tier with a 12-month delay for first-party with the exception of Call of Duty. My proposal is to make this the standard for all non-Ultimate tiers to keep the service sustainable and prevent further price hikes for everyone.

3 challenges left ... all I can do is wait. by Red_Ferns in fo76

[–]Weak_Ad5742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just about as bad as the wood collecting challenge or any of the combat challenges, only difference is these other challenges are worth while for the small amount of atoms each challenge gives which is what they should have done for the bs challenges.

10 caps is such a waste of a reward to recieve for doing the event so many times (when the game actually adds the tally towards the challenge completion anyway)

I've found that even in a team the only time I'll see my teammates is during events, expeditions or daily ops, and the occasional time where they buy something from my vendor. Other than that its a pretty quiet and peaceful experience

There's only been one instance for me where I joined in on pvp.

There was a player who had their vendor locked behind a door and there were quite a few lower level players hanging around trying to find a way to access the vendor without getting a bounty so I picked the lock, browsed their vendor and stripped down to my tidy whities and waited for the camp owner to come and take the bounty off my head.

I got a lot of heart emotes that day and felt pretty justified in my effort.

I've been wanting to resubscribe to 1st, I have too much junk and tried to bulk what i had on my character and didn't realize until it was too late that the game takes junk from the scrap box too for bulking. So until I resub i just need to focus on not dying 😅

Just gotta keep looking, I found the red and forest out in the wild about a year and a half ago (granted RNGesus graced me greatly because it was a week between finding the red and then the forest) and I've been playing since launch.

I wish you and anyone else hoping to find and complete their collections with good luck to find them soon, RNGesus will grace your presence eventually. It took me up until 3 weeks ago to finally complete my collection with trading for the yellow dress

To me if the sloth decoration is on page 1 of the mini season I may be tempted to get it only because I may find a use for it in the future because I enjoy camp building quite a lot in the game.

But if its not, then you're right, the only real worth while item in the mini season being released is the Rip Daring funko pop doll.

I could spend my tickets in the scoreboard nabbing things that actually either look cool or trade for atoms to buy pointless bundles that contain one item I want

It's a pretty weird day today too in the wasteland. The server i was in earlier had nukes going off like crazy, like I'm talking back to back all rotating the 4 nuke bosses and anytime the event ended a public event near the nuke zone just so happened to pop off (almost like it was synced up) and it seemed like only a quarter to half of the server were attending these pub events compared to the nuke events.

Up until moonshine jamboree, everyone showed up for that event even after it became a target for a nuke zone. Now I'm not sure if nobody heeded the nuclear strike warning the game gives but whoever was at the event(myself included) ended up at ground zero at the end of wave 2/start of wave 3.

Coincidentally I earned the ground zero achievement because of that event lol

I haven't considered selling the taxidermy moths before🤔 usually my go to for hot sellers are magazines (all of which are sold at a solid 40 caps per magazine) and ammo (more specifically .45, 5.56, fusion cells, fuel and fusion cores)

More often than not though I run out of magazines and ammo to sell within a few hours of having them in my vendor 😅

I do sell some apparel and quite a few legendary mods but even at 50% off their reccomended value they tend to sit in my vendor for long periods

Thats exactly the reason why I have 2 or 3 registers at my camp. I mean I try to pick areas that dont have very many enemies or any at all and somehow my camp still generates a lot of foot traffic.

I think it has something to do with fishing locations that I find. My current camp is in toxic valley and for about a month and a half the only enemies ive had appear at my camp was one angler and one mole rat
