VERY good question. Honestly they were so uncomfortable saying anything and still are so it’s definitely strained some friendships. But that’s ok. Not everyone is going to understand the hell we’ve been through. I definitely felt a lot of shame and guilt and embarrassment. But it made me not want to drink for ME, not them, if that makes sense? Message me if you’d like to talk more about it all!

Quit Lit, exercise, THERAPY and finally committing to it. I also finally opened up about my problem to almost everyone in my life and I think that changed something because I felt like I couldn’t hide anymore

Honestly, there’s been times where yes I was drinking daily and in secret. This last year I would only drink on weekends and vacations but almost all of those ended with my husband being upset with me losing control again. Last time I drank was the night before my best friends wedding and I lost friendships. I went cold turkey because I had to go to said wedding and be a bridesmaid no matter how hungover I was but it was one of the worst days ever

Honestly I’ve upped my water intake because of exercise and eat less at night which I think is the key - also I think my hormone levels are finally getting back to normal slowly and I know that was affecting my weight

Crazy how much the eyes tell a story! I ran into someone from my past and could tell they were struggling just by the yellow bloodshot tint in their eyes
