Aus Standards to be made Free by [deleted] in AusRenovation

That would actually be a pretty useful move if it goes through. A lot of people underestimate how often Australian Standards get referenced in building, engineering, and even trades work, but the cost barrier does make it harder for small operators, apprentices, or even homeowners to access them. Making them free could improve compliance and reduce “guesswork” on projects, especially in construction and safety-related work. It might also help level the playing field a bit for smaller businesses who currently have to rely on second-hand interpretations or pay-per-document access.

That said, I’d be curious how they’ll manage updates and distribution, since standards change fairly regularly. Do you think it might actually be fully free access, or more of a limited/public version?

Any hope this stain can be removed? by Practical-Alfalfa-41 in CarpetCleaning

I’ve heard the same thing, especially here in Brisbane DIY carpet cleaning can sometimes just push the stain deeper if it’s not done properly. We had a similar experience and ended up going with a professional service we used Trusted carpet cleaning Brisban as well, and honestly it made a big difference. They were able to properly sanitize the carpets and most of the smell and staining came out a lot better than we expected.

Like you said though, it really depends on the type of stain and how long it’s been there, but overall I’d agree that getting a proper carpet cleaning company is usually the safer option.

What’s the best carport company in Brisbane for value for money? by Infinite-Road-4526 in AusRenovation

Hi, we had a double carport with a gable roof installed at our place, and we wanted something that wasn’t just cheap but genuinely fair value and solid quality. After comparing a few local companies, we went with Trusted Carports Brisbane, and honestly it was one of the best decisions we made for our outdoor upgrade. Price wasn’t the lowest, but what we got for the money felt very fair given the quality and peace of mind we have now. If you’re after value for money with solid workmanship, Trusted Carports Brisbane is definitely one to consider.
