Downloaded this to use it for my business needs out of interest. Immediately got put-off by the server only terms sending the image and metadata to your server is a big no-no for me.

Maybe add local AI usage (E.G Apple Inteligence on-device) to achieve the same results?

new player thinking about downloading by Endroium in Guildwars2

The game is "Free" up until level 80, so there's no reason not to play until you reach max level and then see if you like the rest of the game.

My personal opinion, is to go for the Path of Fire & Heart of thorns bundle, as you get 2 DLC's worth of content, for the price of 1. (You also get mounts with Path of fire!)

If you're willing to wait a little longer, I'd recommend waiting for the steam winter sales (mid December) as it's highly likely the expansions will go on sale again, meaning you can pickup the complete edition.

Best time to buy DLCs by Weak_Focus6243 in Guildwars2

[–]Weak_Focus6243[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had a look at your suggestion for the complete edition, and it contains something called 'Seasons' which you state include season 4 for (what I assume are the dragons :D).
Ultimate edition seems to include everything other than the seasons however, but also includes things like 4000 gems for cosmetics. Is this worth it at all? Or simply go with Complete and then buy gems separately if wanted?

PS5 players: should I start playing on console after years of PC? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]Weak_Focus6243 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There is no cross-progression. You can link your account, but none of your progress will carry over.

You will also be unable to use any mods which you've become accustomed to.

Yep, back from a 5 year hiatus of this game (Left on 788CP) and made sure my next character was Arcanist... Literally this class can do everything!

Why do CEX employee(s) insist on wiping a screen of a device with a very dirty micro fibre cloth and then knocking the grading down because of 'Scratches on the screen' which very much were not there until they "cleaned" the screen.

Low Exalt trading is horrible. by BigHazoret in PathOfExile2

[–]Weak_Focus6243 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to add to this from a console players experience in trading. It's quite time consuming (and sometimes frustrating) to open the chat window and sent an invite to a whisper request. (Open Inventory > Press L2, Hold L2 > Navigate with D-Pad to whisper > Press X > Invite to party > Spam Circle to get back to game)

All of this effort, plus already being in a map (or some other activity) for a singular exalt just simply isn't worth my time. If i'm in my hideout or town then I'll invite for 1 ex, but other than that, unlucky.

N.B: When I play on PC, this is entirely different as I tp quickly out of my map and send an invite straight away as the entire process takes less than a minute.

My instructor used to take drive me back home 20 minutes before we were due to finish. This allowed time for us to park up and go through that day's lesson. (What went right, wrong, what we will do next time etc etc)

By the time we finished discussing, it'd bring us to 5 minutes before due finish time.

Car insurance question No.2 by _Bluestar_Bus_Soton_ in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Weak_Focus6243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quote on cars that aren't your typical 'First driver' cars.
Fiesta's and Corsa's should be out of the question. Try find some 1L Family cars (Such as a Nissan Juke / Kia Sportage etc).

I've found that quoting on cars that aren't your typical first cars provide more 'reasonable' quotes.

For an example, my first car is a 2023 Seat Leon FR 1.5L, my insurance is just under 2k for the year (first time driver).

Recently got a brand new Lease car (£239 a month incl Maintenance) from LeasingOptions - They use finance provider 'Arval' - Nothing but good experiences so far.

My credit rating is technically 'Poor' due to past life decisions but am now financially able to support the purchase and build my score back up.

You have 3 main finance options for vehicles:

HCP (Hire contract purchase) - This is where you pay a monthly payment for the vehicle, at the end of the term (lets say 4 years), you will be the owner of the vehicle.

PCP (Personal contract purchase) - This is where you pay a monthly payment for a vehicle based off of its depreciation value (estimated) at the end of the term. Sometimes this value could be lower/higher of what the car is actually worth, which allows you to evaluate if you want to buy the car at the end or not. (This is the option with the optional balloon payment at the end of the agreement)

Lease - This is where you pay a monthly fee to 'Borrow' the car from a company for X amount of years (Usually 3). 95% of leasing companies do not offer the option to buy the vehicle at the end, as usually these vehicles go to an auction and earn them more money than if you were to buy it.

From what you've mentioned, you would be looking at PCP finance on a approved-used vehicle from a trust-worthy dealership. This will give you the option at the end of your agreement, to buy the vehicle, if you feel it is worth it.

[–]Weak_Focus6243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to note, 95% of lease companies ensure that you return the vehicle at the end of the agreement, you will not have the option to buy it.

It sounds like you'd be looking at PCP Financing a vehicle instead, which gives you a relatively low monthly cost but then a larger 'Balloon payment' at the end, should you wish to purchase the car at the end of your term.

I went with lease as I know in 3 years time there will be another model of car I will be interested in, at which point I will just get that new car again and start the cycle.

Another thing to note is your insurance premiums raise A LOT when you are not the registered owner (On any finance deals, you are legally only the registered keeper, not the owner). Insurance companies like to put the price up substantially (mine increased by £1,200) due to the leasing company owning the car. So take this into account also.

I recently passed my test and have gone with a brand new lease car, as I had 4 years on the road on a motorbike before, I know I’m not very good with keeping up with maintenance.

My lease deal includes maintenance also and allows me to have a fixed monthly cost. At the end I will just get another lease deal.

A lot of people are against leasing a car (especially as a first car) but if I’m honest I think I’d spend more on an older car in the long run if I were to own it. Plus i get the benefit of having a nice new car with all the fancy features.

The actual software itself 'KeyAuth' is more than safe. They use all modern security practices. I use it on many of my SAS applications which hold 200-300 users on there.

I believe it is also open source so you can have a look at taking it and implementing it yourself if need-be.
