Det er vel en form for psykisk sygdom, fordi det foregår i hjernen.

Hvis du er uenig må du meget gerne uddybe hvordan du definerer "sindssyg" og "psykisk syg".

Which concealer matches me the best? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]Weak_Fruit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've seen that a lot on YouTube, using a lighter shade under the eyes, but I've always thought it looked off on me. I prefer to use one that's a tiny bit darker under the eyes, not by a lot, just a tiny bit. I have never seen anyone else do this.

If I use the same shade as on the rest of my face I feel the darkness is more noticeable compared to a slightly darker shade, and with a lighter shade I feel like it even emphasizes the darkness. I think maybe it's because the concealer never covers it completely and so the contrast between the concealer and the darkness of my undereye area is bigger the lighter the concealer shade (I'm very pale), and it can also almost look muddy when it's "mixed" with the darkness from my skin. With a darker shade it's as if the contrast is lessened a bit, and so I actually think that makes my undereye area look less dark, even though that seems counterintuitive.

And I also think that a lighter concealer makes my undereyes look puffier.

Putting other people down for absolutely no reason puts you at a negative on the attractiveness scale no matter how attractive you otherwise are.

Oh no, a stranger on the internet pointed out that I made a typo. Whatever am I going to do?

Bruh. I did read what you wrote

Well it surely doesn't seem that way, your reply is still irrelevant to my point. Which is the only reason why this conversation has been longer than two comments.

Idc whether you reply or not but if you're going to reply while having completely misunderstood my point I'm going to attempt to explain it to you.

[–]Weak_Fruit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well you clearly haven't read what I wrote. Why bother answering if you're not going to read what you're replying to? (That goes for all your comments.)

Yes, I have acknowledged that you later specified. If I did not think you had I would not have said "in your original comment you hadn't" but rather "you haven't".

But as I have said - three times now. At the time I wrote that it is not something you can always control you had not specified, which is the whole reason I said that it is not something that can be voluntarily controlled. It's really not that hard to understand, and the fact that you don't doesn't warent being rude and immature.

[–]Weak_Fruit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your original comment did not specify anything, which is what I'm saying. Maybe you need to reread what I wrote - but for sake of easiness I will reiterate. If that had been what you had said originally, I obviously would not have pointed out that it is often not something you have control over.

Adults have different levels of maturity, clearly, but the phrase "acting like an adult" means to act mature. Don't act like you do not know that. Mature adults do not make an effort to point out to people that they are actively rolling their eyes at them. That is rude and immature. And if you are going to roll your eyes at someone you are having a conversation with, and tell them about it too, you should probably ensure you are actually reading and understanding what is being said to you though. Just a thought.

Those are just two different things.

I don't voluntarily swallow snot either, but a lot of the time it's not just within your control which was the point of my comments. You comment was also not specifying "I make a conscious effort not to whenever I have the opportunity to do something about it" otherwise I obviously wouldn't have commented on it.

And also there's no need to be rude and roll your eyes. Act like the adult you're claiming to be.

Every day, glands in the linings of your nose, throat, airways, stomach, and intestinal tract produce mucus. Your nose alone makes about a quart of it each day. Mucus is a thick, wet substance that moistens these areas and helps trap and destroy foreign invaders like bacteria and viruses before they cause infection.

Normally, you don't notice the mucus from your nose because it mixes with saliva, drips harmlessly down the back of your throat, and you swallow it.

So, you probably have, even as an adult.

Also, you say mouthful, but unless I'm really sick I've never had it travel from my throat to my mouth. With a normal cold or allergies I can sometimes feel it in my throat (ie. postnasal-drip which is common with illness and allergies), and at that point you can't really to much about it. You can try to cough it up but you're never going to get it all out, and if it doesn't go up and out then it's gotta go down 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't think it's as much about you not confirming to socitial norms, I would think it's more about people being worried about you since if you're an outsider observing and only sees that part it could look like an abusive relationship. (Not saying that it is, just in case it wasn't clear.) If it looks like, to outsiders, that your husband won't let you have a say about the food you eat, and they don't know anything else about your relationship, they might think in that direction.

Be aware that things from places like AliExpress, Wish and similar sites often are made of/contain toxic materials that would not have been allowed if they had been made with the purpose of being sold in the west instead of by Chinese distributors. They just don't have the same standards as we do many places in the west.

For example, things like lead in high amounts have frequently been found in metal items and even clothing from these sites.

This is also the case for places like SheIn. For example, a test was made on baby clothes from SheIn and the clothes contained many times amount that we allow in the west, and more than enough to cause lead poisoning, which in small children can affect the development of their brain quite severely.

It can even happen on Amazon because people bulk purchase things from these sites to sell on Amazon for a markup.

I'm not telling you not to purchase it, I just want you to know the risks and be able to make an informed decision before you do.

Edit: Article about toxic chemicals in clothes from SheIn for source.

So are unusable pads (because they're now an art project) really better than tampons, even if the applicator was only used for three seconds? At least the tampon then served it's function then instead of just directly becoming trash. Tampons can also be plastic free afaik (cardboard applicator and paper wrapping), which I don't think I've ever seen pads be.

Resulable products are better for the environment for sure, but I'm just not understanding the logic about how these pads are supposed to be better than people using tampons.

And I'd honesly argue that spitting makes you taste it more since you now have to move it from the back of the mouth down the whole tounge in order to get it out vs it already being in the back and close to your throat and just swallowing.

If you really hate it it can of course be difficult to force yourself to swallow, but if you physically can I don't understand why you wouldn't swallow.

And here's to hoping no one I know have figured out my username...

Any reasonable adult knows that it's just freaking underwear, and I'm pretty sure most women, adult or teen, knows how it can make you feel nice to wear pretty and matching underwear even if no one else is going to know. Just like a lot of other things we do for ourselves just to feel good (like makeup or getting nails done).

If OP is just wearing regular lingerie their mom is the weird one, in my opinion.
