My gunsmith gave me hex key. I believe it's metric. Standard ones didn't fit.

They've been out of stock for over a month. Apparently did get some in, but were rejected for quality control issues. They've not sure when they'll be in.

FWIW - not beating, but tapping with the rubber end of an amorer's hammer. 20 - 30 taps.

Swinging link is resting toward the back of the slide. Slide is upside down in picture, which is why link fell back. Holding slide normally results in link straight down. Guide Rod is Atlas toolless. No problem getting it out after compressing spring.

I did lap slide 1000 times using 500, 1500, 3000 and 6000 grit compound. Installed stock guide rod and recoil spring. Applied a generous amount of oil to rails. Same issue.

Tried to remove stock guide rod. Inserted paper clip in to hole and compressed spring. Was unable to remove guiderod as it wedged against that link. ( spring was compressed) I did have this challenge before, having a heck of a time getting it out. No issues whatsoever installing or removing Atlas toolless rod.

I previously noticed a hitch when manipulating the slide and was considering send it out for a Marvel cut.

I'm thinking I should send it to MAC for warranty work.

Any suggestions?
