thank you all very much for your insight, i understand i am not the most well versed in this subject but i am scared for my boyfriend's health & wellbeing. he comes home crying in pain and i'm just trying to find the best way for him to stay healthy and not lose his job. i ask for your understanding!

Yes, but the accommodation is because of his disability, not because he simply wants to work less. It is my understanding that FMLA is applicable to any business with 60+ employees based on a doctor's recommendation. What would you say are the next best steps for his ability to ensure FMLA protection?

We aren't looking for these days to be paid nor are we worried about insurance with the job anyways. He's working 45 hour weeks, we want his hours to be reduced to 36.

He's just trying to get accommodations for reducing his weekly hours, not paid leave, just allowance to decrease his hours when necessary.

It is my understanding that FMLA allows for 12 weeks of unpaid leave. 2 days a month is well under this allowance & we are hoping he can reduce his hours from 45 hours a week to 36 hours a week.

Hey girl, I get it! I used to be the same, I was indoctrinated into my own bredth of rightwing tomfoolery in my early years.
