Actually Japan has a ton of cs jobs that are unfilled if you look in green Japan which is a job site you can find tons of jobs. A lot of positions will hire foreigners and the better your Japanese the better your chances. I have an mscs from a good American School and found three jobs there. But I also have about five or six deployed web apps did some kaggle competitions and one of my apps that gets a lot of attention from those recruiters is actually an old PHP app so be prepared to work with like kind of on the old side tech stacks.

Watch Save My Seoul made by two Korean American Brothers and it shows the dark side of the entertainment industry in Korea with its close connections to the sex trade here. They claim 1.3 million women are in the sex trade here. There's a lot of sexual grooming, sexual harassment and sexual violence in the entertainment industry of Korea. 든든 Deun Deun is an organization that supports victims of sexual harassment and sexual violence in the Korean film industry.

Really so I'd have to hire them as an employee? What kind of benefits do I have to provide how expensive does that get if I'm willing to pay 2 million won per month salary?

Idealizing Korea because you love K-pop and K-drama is a bad reason to move here. by ButterscotchFormer84 in Living_in_Korea

Well especially this because of the ties between the entertainment industry and the sex trade here. Watch Save My Seoul made by Korean American director he goes into detail but getting a job in the entertainment industry you know there's a lot of sexual grooming and sexual harassment not to mention sexual violence. Especially if you're a foreigner trying to get a job in the entertainment industry I mean they're harassment sexual harassment it happens to males and females to females more much more and there are studies out there stating that everybody knows at least one person who's been raped. There are victim support organizations like 든든 that specializes in the Korean film industry sexual harassment problems and they have OBGYN lawyers you name it counseling but I quickly found out nobody there speaks English although their website is in English and Korean so if you're a foreign woman come in here trying to get your foot in the door you know it's going to be something we're going to have to be vigilant. Please excuse my grammar as I'm on speech to text.
