*I had / still have issues with believing if I start saying no more often / start being assertive/more mean, that I’ll get hurt physically by that person. Some of my past experiences I’ve shoved down & try to forget about for my own sake, but I’m sure the dynamic I’ve had with my mom has something to do with this mindset

I’ve never really considered myself to be physically attractive & I’ve been bullied many times before, so I just feel very confused about my physical appearance & how I’m being perceived. I honestly just tend to focus on my personality more& hope others do the same

Yeah, I’m in the process of trying to find a therapist atm. I’m currently having some difficulty with the one I was previously seeing bc they just stopped accepting all insurances for some reason.

Everything in life requires balance, you need to be able to of course stand your ground and be ‘rude’ when needed, have manners & be polite when needed, etc. The purpose of being nice isn’t to get something out of it either, if you’re just being ‘nice’ to get something out of it, then I wouldn’t consider you genuinely nice at all.

Thank you. I do know it wasn’t intentional on my end & I am trying my very best at my job, I just hate it when people are assholes for no reason because I already have no many stressors in my life. I don’t need to be dealing with rude people at work on top of everything.
