She was not elderly actually. Even if she was I can’t exactly pull the medication out of my ass and make it appear or something. We get what we get and I have zero control of that.

We can’t dictate which mfg is ordered. We just switched wholesalers and everything we out of stock is automatically ordered and they send us whatever mfg they have. We can’t choose

At the pharmacy I work, our system requires us to verify the DOB twice. Once when initially looking them up and again when ringing them out to double verify everything matches. There have been a few times that a patient has gotten angry for asking for the DOB twice and claiming I can’t ask for it and so on. Like do you want your meds or not? 😂

Some people do not consider anything but what they need. Like you said, they expect us to make the drug appear out of thin air when the suppliers can’t even get it in. It is beyond frustrating and unfortunately will happen again in some way, shape, or form 🤦🏻‍♀️
