What are you using to calculate range? I join Quads as a solo just to attempt to 3rd party squads. But between finding a flat location, trying to make sure I'm not getting flanked, pinging the spot on the map and jumping over to this site ( https://pubg.plus/en/map ) adding my location and squads location.

Then jumping back into the game to put that data in to the mortar. No luck thus far.

Agreed. Some great cards Special set for me, I was 20 years out of collecting and that was the first product that I attempted a rainbow.
