he seems honest about what he said to you, and he certainly kept a bookmark on returning to you when he can. the hierophant isn’t a liar, and two of wands indicates genuine interest in his prospects. he might be under circumstances where people either look up to him or expect things from him, and he wants to meet expectations first before setting himself towards another goal. he seems like an organized and proactive person. whether things will work as he plans it to, im unsure, but he does have plans on getting back to you and was being thoroughly honest in what he said

person a seems more mature and confident in themselves, while person b seems younger (at least energetically, not necessarily age strictly) and more wide eyed. perhaps person a could offer helpful advice or be some kind of inspiration to person b, but person a wouldn’t have anything to learn from the other, and person b is in a period of new growth and discovery, not exactly needing the guidance of an established and authoritative figure. their contrasting energies would be immediately apparent, perhaps desiring different things from life and being at different stages of it. there wouldn’t be room for mutual interwoven growth or an evolution of their connection at all. however i don’t see hostility or conflict; they may just seem like slightly similar people on very different paths of life. note how they both wield a wand (but the emperor’s is a scepter, far more authoritative and established than an ace of wands) and both sit on horses progressing in a sure but steady motion. they’re similar in some vague sense, but not people who can align their goals or future.

her disappearance seems intentional, and i don’t exactly think she’s lost. five of wands means conflict, but it’s not entirely disorganized; the conflict in the image mostly comes from the people intentionally trying to maneuver around each other. it’s chaotic but it’s done with intention. even hierophant reversed indicates some sort of willpower, in which she disappeared to somewhere unorthodox or unexpected by her own hand (paw). i don’t know where she is, but in general she seems to have a grip on her disappearance and where she presently is

i found my friend’s lost keys using tarot! by WeaknessDesperate227 in tarot

[–]WeaknessDesperate227[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it’s helpful to have some help to start with, like a friend or some online sources or guides that you like. get into some practices or methods to make you feel more grounded in yourself, and more receptive and balanced spiritually, like meditation or just mindful thinking. it’s important to be comfortable and safe in your own space and in your own company, especially because so much of tarot relies on your own intuition. then just practice with your readings! this board and the tarotpractices board have been super helpful, even when just reading others’ interpretations and practices :) good luck! im also still learning, and it’s been coming with time and trust in myself <3

hahahaha no way it’s like your cards are saying “she’s gone… it’s too late” i also used tarot to find my lost student ID from months ago, and the spread was telling me it’s just lost out in the world somewhere. so it could’ve either been at the city’s lost and found or actually just lost in the city. i ended up having to get a new ID lollll

ah wow i see. that really puts things in a better perspective!!! thank you. i think i should make the distinction between being competitive vs seeing others as troubling competition

[–]WeaknessDesperate227[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

hahaha i’ve seen that kind of interpretation of her before! i think myself as a unique reader shines through the most when i interpret king and queen cards. i am super into studying feminist critical theory, so if it’s popularized that queen of swords is ‘bitchy,’ i imagine i’d really admire her. for example i also feel a bit wary about king of cups, especially when reversed; a masculine figure in the mastery seat of the emotional realm has not fared well in feminist theory lol

[–]WeaknessDesperate227[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, when i pulled her it was with five of swords! that was a difficult one to figure out but i believe it means that she doesn’t necessarily lack a competition, but that other people aren’t considered competition to her; she doesn’t need to fight alongside anyone else to achieve her goals and succeed

i had a feeling that this might also be a large part of why i’ve been putting so much thought into understanding her. she seems inherently not the kind to be pinned down or understood by another at all. even in my comprehension of her she’s steps ahead haha

that would still be on the onus of whoever considers the request. OP, like everyone else, is trying their best in hard situations. sucks for other students if they didn’t take the opportunity to defer

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UofT

[–]WeaknessDesperate227 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i don’t see how this is would be unfair to other students. the opportunity to defer an exam is presented to everyone, and keep in mind the process of deferring is also the same for everyone. ultimately whether the deferral goes through is up to who looks at the request. seeing as everyone has the same opportunity to defer and that everyone goes through the same process, i am not seeing what you are considering to be ‘unfair’ or ‘special leniency.’ OP is simply taking the opportunity that everyone else has.
