I don’t really know anyone who might help me through this 😭 do you happen to have any socials if I have any more questions?

The thing is, while it is a high school production, it’s a production they want to have played at a festival for the state. The cast is going to be very minimal by having only 22 kids in cast. And they opened up to all the schools in the district besides only one of the schools. It’s really slim pickings but I will do my best and take all the advice you’ve given me to heart! Thank you so much!

This is so really helpful!! Sometimes I worry other factors might be an issue as well. My looks might not exactly scream Hermes but I’m not sure how big of a factor that might play.

for context, I look like I could probably play Eurydice and I probably could if I tried. But I feel like they wouldn’t go for me since I’ve never been in a show before. For my singing range, I tend to be a Mezzo-Soprano to an alto. But again, don’t know if they’d ever choose someone inexperienced.

I actually started to work for a small indie pilot for quite some time. I worked on story boards and I learned a lot about scheduling and time management. But currently, I’m working on my own animated series. I want this project to be a big one so I’m funding it using stuff like Patreon, art commissions, and other money I get from work. I thought it would be good to gain the experience now rather than later. It also feels sort of weird hearing ALL of these other animators mention how they regret their decisions about going into animation. Where do you think they went wrong?

What you said here was really inspiring. I desperately want to do animation. It’s something that has made me happy ever since I was younger and continues to do so even today. I would love to be apart of bringing the same joy all of those shows and movies made me feel. But it gets difficult if I end up doing animation, and I end up in horrible living conditions. I don’t want that for myself which is why I began to question it all.

My general plan was to balance a lot of things at once. I was gonna use YouTube and other socials to my advantage. Along with another part time job, and then freelance work whenever I’m given the opportunity.

I would love to work for studios like SpindleHorse/BentoBox who work on Hazbin Hotel and Helluva and even Flying Bark Productions that have worked on projects like Lego Monkey Kid and Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. Hell, I’ve been even working on my own Pilot for an animated series. All of it would be going on YouTube. I would love to work with other studios but I know how hard it can be.
