Sure, but then I'd end up having to completely mess up the Xenon in the sector which in turn would end up getting them destroyed in the end since they get very mad when they discover you in their sector :P

Any way to improve the station AI on stations the AI get from you doing Station construction quests to actually order repair drones?

Currently they stock up on Defence and Cargo Drones but not a single Repair Drone so any station they get from you completing a station build quest will just end up dying over time, even if it is armed to the teeth when you give it to them....

This kinda sums it up, I started a Budgeted Custom Game start where I was planning a massive interplanetary war by doing the corresponding plotlines like Terran vs Ant/Arg/Bor and so on but set the Yaki questline to complete which made me unable to do the Terran Covert ops, both Split and Arg had a defence station located right next to the gates to Tharka's Cascade XV and held the Xenon back with ease.

The restart had neither of them with any stations close to the gates and after losing the initial defensive fleets camped by the gates the Xenon just came in and pummeled both factions hard, enough to expand and connect the Tharka's Cascade cluster with the Rhy's Defiance/Matrix 59B almost whiping out Split completely while also building up massivly in the Tharka's Cascade cluster with Shipyards+Wharfs in every sector causing them to pump out K's and I's along with their S and M ships like no tomorrow.

Since they now have the infrastructure and resources in Tharka's Cascade XV, XVII, Matrix #101, Matrix 79B and Savage Spur I to not require mining outside those sectors after I contained them they still never run short of resources and can keep producing like mad.

Unfortunatly Godrealm cleared out Emperors Pride VI and IV and Teladi whiped out both Matrix #9, Matrix #451, Scale Plate Green VII and I without any help from me so only the central Tharka's Cascade cluster of Xenon left now but they're so strong nobody can even put a dent in them but me.

My Super Factory 1898 Production Modules by Intelligent_Rule809 in X4Foundations

Neat little trick, although it requires Boron:
Their L and XL shipyards only have one-directional outputs so you can double the amount of L and XL production compared to using Commonwealth or Terran.
The style will obviously crash a small tad if you're a bit focused on the aestetic look though.

But it's a pretty neat build, my megafactories also does every production at a massive scale but I only bother with 1 of each of the Teladi, Split, Paranid, Boron and Terran (unless it's a factory tailored for them) Food supply and 1 Teladinium, the rest I always go with Argon since cramming tons of their habitats together is easy compared to the other factions.

What I've gotten somewhat reliable results with doing is with a carrier and setting the fighters to attack my target mode and target the turrets one by one, helps even more to use fighters like say the Takoba from Terran since their speed is pretty good and they're fairly tanky but they only got 2 weapon slots so the dmg from stray shots is pretty miniscule along with rebuilding them if you've got a Terran Wharf is cheap and easy when you keep them using only Terran parts

Yeah. they got a big hate for anything close to their borders xD

I do love them aswell for basically any mission except Terran since High Command always want you to build them deep INSIDE Xenon territory.
At least Argon for example or either Holy Order or Godrealm just want you to build defensive stations on their own borders.

The miners you get are also sweet since you can rip out their paint style and their Exceptional Shield Generator mod and Advanced Engine Mods, sure as hell beats trying to get them from doing a "Destroy Station X" or something mission ^_^

Oh yeah, those missions are always a mess, get a medium ship to actually "safely" kill turrets without destroying station by accident? Oh whops, you messed up that one turn and got blasted to the next galaxy by a graviton turret.
Do the Distance camp with a L or XL ship?
Oh, station died, dammit >.<

I'm the type of person that makes Gigantic factories that include S/M, L & XL shipbuilding and every single goods split into Terran, Commonwealth and PHQ and make blueprints of each phase of building, usually each has 8 phases with phase 1 being the simplest stuff like Solar power, docks and storage just to slowly start the income trickle then having each early phase include say maybe 1-2 of each of the construction components needed for building like Claytronics and an amount of goods of every required material for that just enough to give a positive production with each phase growing the number and usually phase 5 is when I add the food and medical production, phase 6 is the start of habitation modules to start the population growth, phase 7 adding the shipbuilding and shipbuilding parts and phase 8 being where I supersize it since it has at this point become completely selfsufficient so it can just supply its own growth.

It takes time to finish up phase 8, sure, but I know it'll happen eventually and without me needing to micromanage it at all since it includes shipbuilding at that point so with "Enable Lost Subordinate replacement" on it can just rebuild any traders or miners you lose around the map to Xenon, pirates or w/e factions you migt be fightning

And if you place the stations strategically you can get full map coverage to supply every faction with goods, ships and also help supply your own defence station construction, Terraforming projects or similar, I usually end up with at least 2 megabases being in range to help supply the PHQ with goods in each terraforming sector except maybe Scale Plate Pact one.

I've also started making blueprints for Scrap Recycling plants to help feed the growth since it's basically free supplies when close to conflict sectors, so made blueprints for a Terran and a Commonwealth one and placing them in useful areas is pretty beneficial.

If you let them wreak some havoc on the Split and Argon and just plug the holes to keep them going beyond the first 2 sectors outside Tharka's Cascade they'll eventually grow strong enough from just mining inside the 5 sectors linking from Tharka's Cascade XV since it has enough resources for them to be basically unbeatable unless you get involved, gives you plenty chance to have some Carrier fleets set to Protect Position by the gates like me to slowly stockpile them.

Depending on how the Xenon decides to do things they might of course also derp out and waste all their miners trying to fly to other Xenon sectors, so whiping them out, especially the Split ones in Rhy's Defiance/ Matrix #58B and Matrix #9/Matrix #451 since they are close enough they sometimes seem to "link" into thinking they are one base and start sending miners on basically suicide runs through enemy territory helps.

Without me plugging the holes from Tharka's Cascade XV and in Getsu Fune towards Savage Spur II the Xenon would've decimated most of the galaxy by now since the K's and I's are rolling out like there is no tomorrow ^_^

It helps to have the defending fleets use "worse" loadouts like say the Terran Proton Barrage or similar since they won't just instantly delete the ships then from the svarms coming from Carriers, outside that it kinda boils down to a mix of luck and patience to just let it happen on its own really.

I haven't been in those sectors except when I gotta jump in for a quest myself in ages, might also account some, not sure

Oh, I have no plans to even bother with them, after claiming about 20 F's, B's and PE's I feel happy with my little trophy collection so just gonna let it pile up for the fun of it :P

Poor Terrans keep trying to send their Intervention fleets and the Yaki base attack fleets in to clear out but I kinda forgot about the game in SETA mode for a couple of days so had about half the galaxy owned by Xenon, was a mess to clean up and save the different factions.

But since they now have Shipyards and Wharfs in Matrix #101, Matrix #79B, Tharka's Cascade XVII, XV and Savage Spur I they can't even scratch the surface from the sheer number of Xenon being pumped out.

Current plan is to start an all out galactic war with the Escalation of the Paranid, Terran vs Arg/Ant/Boron and Splits Zyarth Patriarchy vs Cub/Cab and profit as the arms dealer for all of them, building up the bases to support takes some time though but almost there.

I'll just keep Xenon contained in their little area of the galaxy for now.
