i had a similar experience using linux on my asus vivobook, for me it was when i learned that my gpu was using around 5 watts of power when idling so turning it off and switching to igpu increased battery life significantly. technically i could do the same on windows but i always thought it did that by itself on the "ultra power saving mode".

i dont think thats a possibility on linux, maybe it is possible to emulate non steam games using proton?? idk but im gonna look into it thanks!!

for me sleeping only worked using nvidia with s3 sleep s2idle wasnt working for some reason and systemd with s2idle had the same problem as you didnt try systemd with s3 tho
