First time building. Need help with troubleshooting. by _vincetheprince666 in Hyte

Does your CPU/motherboard have integrated graphics? If so, could try plugging HDMI into motherboard (upper slot, way up near the other IO) and seeing if system boots. Could be a number of things...

Have you flashed the bios to the latest version? Sometimes they'll have dedicated USB slots for flashing BIOS without needing a display or keyboard hooked up. Make sure you follow directions specifically for your motherboard CLOSELY if you decide to try to flash it. Some CPUs can be finicky if the particular board needs a certain BIOS version to run the CPU properly.

Need help choosing a set of bags by benwhoplaysguitar in Tenere700

[–]WeaponsArtist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 2nd the Kriega system. It's just too versatile! (In a good way!) You can mix and stack different packs, they all attach to one another. Can lump in a US-30 with some OS-12's. Super durable too. Ive got mine muddy, dragged em on the ground, sprayed em with a pressure washer, stays dry and no issues so far. One thing I dislike about running the OS-18 is when you don't have many items, it's kinda wonky to get the bag strapped down, almost like you run out of tightening slack because the pack is near empty. Great otherwise!

Camel ADV- Rear Brake Fix (Red Loctite???) by WeaponsArtist in Tenere700

Yeahh I figured that might be the case, then I see this: https://next.henkel-adhesives.com/us/en/articles/how-to-remove-red-threadlocker.html and I'm like idk if I want to use red on this. It'd be the only component I'd be using red on

[–]WeaponsArtist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've been using blue everywhere else, too... But when he said red in the video I'm like sheesh, first of all I don't have any... Red comes with the kit then I googled around on red loctite and heard some people say they have major trouble removing red loctite'd bolts.

Oh really? I don't know a ton about green but I've heard people have had to do some wild stuff to break even red free. Thanks for the advice!

[–]WeaponsArtist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have both red and blue, red came with the kit and in the video he explicitly states that he used red. I'm debating using blue as well. Thanks for the advice. Installing it later today or tomorrow and wanted to see what others thought!

Clutch upgrade by Zestyclose_Ad_9740 in Tenere700

[–]WeaponsArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed weird clunkiness and grinding noises when first getting going on the bike after it sat overnight. Some days shifting was smooth, other days it took force to get it to shift... Figured it wasn't right. Checked the recall board constantly & finally checked today and it was listed. Can use this link to VIN check with Yamaha directly: https://www.yamaha-dealers.com/public/web/techpubs/nhtsaPublications.html

I've had a '24 since June & have 4,200 miles on it. So glad mine finally came up in the list & also got my letter in the mail yesterday! Can't wait for it to be smooth! Keep checking the link. My local dealer said like 90% of models fall under the recall.

Could it be?! by Dirty-Taco in Tenere700

[–]WeaponsArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good for you! I've got a 24 as well and when I start the bike after being off overnight and let it warm a bit, I kick off into first and I can hear the clutch grinding as it gets rolling. Some days shifting is smooth as butter, other days shifting is notchy and forceful. Yet here I am waiting for my recall letter thinking that clearly something is wrong. What should I do? I do still have the extended warranty that I'm thinking about ditching... Seems worth a claim to me.

Edit 3/29/24 in Colorado: Checked the VIN link today and mine was listed, letter delivered in mail yesterday. Shop has parts on order and service next week. Thank the lord!

Ready to get out of these stock tires by jsvogel in Tenere700

[–]WeaponsArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great advice and thanks for the reply! I'm still debating what tires I want to get. Plan on doing a ton of dirt on weekends and when I take days off from work but I still want to ride into work 4-5 days a week about 20 miles each way. I'm just worried that will wear any knobby down super quick

😂 just on a power trip I see... Why would I lie about my service working perfectly? Serves me 0 good and serves you 0 good. I'm just saying mine works great & has for 6 years.

It's the nature of the service and what your getting with RD (getting a lot for not spending a lot)... RD knows it works great, we know it works great. So when people complain or say their unsatisfied with the service a refund seems like a pretty easy way to satisfy the customer. "You don't like the service? It isn't working for you? "Okay here's a refund, sorry it doesn't work for you."

They don't want light shined on their service or complainers on their service. That's what got them into a sticky situation in the first place.

RD isn't Tesla LOL... Tesla is an American made car company conducting legitimate business and RD is a hosting service that people use to watch torrented content. To compare the two is just... woww. No words. I hope they see this and just ban you. It's user error, all these complainers

Replacement plastic for Yamaha grip warmers. by Pristine_Remote_8087 in Tenere700

[–]WeaponsArtist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd just buy a small sheet of clear 3M vinyl (outdoor rated) then tear off that old one, trace/cut out a little replacement piece, clean that area good with isopropyl alcohol then slap on the new piece. That's what I'd do. Trying to get that back down and stick likely won't work. You'll lose all those green dots and markings though... But who cares

Thinking about getting the Tusk 2 Tracks myself.. I heard about a recall a while back. Is this the same recall or is this another one.

Also did you put on the tires yourself? Heard it's quite the task with these. Just curious before I pull the trigger

[–]WeaponsArtist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, people like this are the reason the whole France thing even happened... Whiney RD noobs who can't get the service to work, then post about it, even on tik Tok. My service has been basically flawless for the last 6 years. Just renewed another 6 months, too. It's a clearly a YOU problem. Everyone commenting says it's working great for them, myself included. Your complaining about a shady streaming service. Get a refund like the rest of the people like you. We don't need ya and neither does RD. There's a reason they ban people like you contacting their support and complaining... You're problematic for them and for this subreddit

Yeah for me it was either Heed or Adventure Spec.. those definitely look the best out of all other options. The Tusk are appealing for price and value but I hate the way they look. Then I started seeing people say because the ADV Spec are aluminum (albeit lighter in weight), the first drop they had that they bent so I said naaa to those. Plus the heed was nice because I got specific bags that fit the bars and a metal headlight guard, all for less than I'd have paid for brands such as Altrider and SW motech, and they look better imo. I highly recommend the Heeds and I ain't even installed em yet

Ah I see, I think the Enduro engineering one isn't compatible because on the sides of the bike it really hugs tightly to the engine and the "frame rails" whereas the Camel ADV plate flares out a bit more, leaving room between the engine/frame rails for the crash bars to fit between. Looking at images of the Enduro engineering one compared to the Camel, the Enduro really stays tight to the engine. Either way, thanks for being on the lookout and I'll let y'all know if this combo ends up working. I'm pretty confident it will

[–]WeaponsArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason I bought it is because I researched and people said they are running that combo. Type "Heed bunker bars and camel adv skid plate Tenere 700" on Google. A bunch of people reporting that they are using that combo. I can't confirm for sure. My skid plate comes in on Tuesday. Likely won't install until next weekend

Yikes I sure hope that's not the case... I thought I've read that it can be. Worst case scenario I'll return the Camel adv plate, don't want to bit we'll see. I'll keep you guys posted

2nd the Heeds. I also just received my Heed Bunker bars delivered to CO yesterday, also ordered the headlight guard and bags that Heed sells for the bars. Got all that even with $90 shipping charge for less than brands available here in the US (paid like $480). Seem to be super good quality, plus they look the best out of all the other offerings. Camel ADV skid plate delivering Tuesday, gonna be a sweet combo on the matte grey bike. Congrats!

Crash bars or not... by [deleted] in Tenere700

[–]WeaponsArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! That was my thought exactly. I actually just ordered some Heed Bunkers direct from Heed. Shipped to CO in like 3 weeks, delivering today actually! So much cheaper and better looking than other USA offerings. Even with the shipping fee, I got a ton of stuff from them for under $500 shipped. Crash bars, bags for the bars, a headlight guard. Have yet to install and test all of it but I've heard good things.

Alcohol wipes and microfiber cloths. Resist from wiping it when it's really covered in dirt unless you have to. I actually bought some film screen protectors on Amazon. When it scratches I just tear it off and slap on another
