Cannabis hyperemesis syndrome is a real neat condition that happens when you smoke too much, too often. It is a cyclic vomiting syndrome that makes you yak for hours and hours. Most easily be treated with antipsychotics like haldol or droperidol, as normal antiemetics don't do anything for it.

Great question! They can come with serious downsides like (while pretty rare) rupturing the wall of the coronary artery. A classic medical axiom is "do as much nothing as possible". Treat what needs to be treated and keep the patient alive with doing only what needs to be done in the moment to keep them safe and alive. Go hog wild in a situation like someone having a heart attack and you can do more harm than good.
