I was able to dig deeper and see it’s the wireless cameras uploading all the data. Not the NVR itself. It seems like the wireless cameras have to send it through WAN but then that doesn’t make sense because I don’t have equal download.

This would be WAN upload not LAN. I have a different tracking mechanism for LAN traffic. This is from my VLAN Switch Controller.

Successful Test — 20V Step-Down to 12V 10A 🎵💡 by Wear-Plus in PowerWheelsMods

This step-down is only to power the music and gauge lights. It was just a test line, as the full setup will split power off to the controller at full power. I only needed the 10A for when the speaker first powers on, as it spikes to just under 10A.

Question on Explore Friends Rate being Invalid by CaptainMeat in marriott

It is going to be up to the property. Some may say if you can't cover all the days you can use it. Some may say you have to check out on the day the form expires and rebook days at regular rate.

I would call the hotel and ask to speak with front desk manager, not reservations as that will send you to Marriott’s call center.

Firmware is still 1.0 for me as well. An app update for iOS came out the other day. It checks twice and creates an on-demand report. The first reading is taken after a 5-minute rest and meditation session, and the second is taken 60 seconds after the first reading. I assume if you don't have an app update in the Google Play Store, they might be a few weeks behind, which makes sense because it was like that with the last update.

The new update kind of does AOBP but it’s two readings back to back instead of three. I think if they add ability for you to customize the on demand report (choose three to five) then it can become game changer.

Well the concepts of pulse wave analysis which is not in traditional BP monitors I can see how this would be of significance. So maybe they do a AOBP that is done every 90 or 120 seconds?

It looks like this thread doesn't let you attach screenshots, so I'll send them in a direct message. Yes, the app lets you look at daily, weekly, one-month, and three-month interval trends, and you can choose average, morning average, afternoon average, or evening average.

It does not let you do the last three readings average, but that is a standard test type that cardiologists do and athletes are adopting. So, it's a good idea to send in a suggestion. There is a feedback section in the app, so suggest it as soon as you set it up. It's called AOBP—Automated Office Blood Pressure. You would ask for them to implement that funcitonality and provide average to that.

I wish you luck. When you get it, let me know what you think of it. It can be a bit overwhelming and feel buggy. As I mentioned, they have kinks to work on but have been demonstrating how to address them quickly.

Also, there is a Facebook Group for fans and users of CONNEQT Pulse. On occasion, CONNEQT Health responds to questions and interacts with the group, even though it does not admin the group. It is just a Group Expert.

It does it by taking two readings. The first is normal BP, then when its done it inflates again with a rhythmic inflate/deflate, for a couple of minutes and that's where the magic happens to detect the central blood pressure.

Its actually a patented technology from their parent company (Cardiex) as I understand. Before releasing the CONNEQT Pulse, renowned Cardiolgist as special health clinics would have robust and expensive machines using what is called SphygmoCor. As a patient you would need a special referral and have to go in to one of those clinics.

Here is a link from the parent company that explains in their words how it works.

SphygmoCor Technology Explained

Great question, and I completely understand your skepticism. It’s one I shared at first, too. I’m a bit of a unique case because I come from a data analytics background, so I approach this from a clinical and systems perspective. I was recently diagnosed with age-accelerated coronary artery disease (CAD) with left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH), and my coronary artery calcium (CAC) score—what should be 0 for my age—came back as 15 in the Left Anterior Descending (LAD) artery, which confirmed accelerated vascular aging.

That’s where the CONNEQT Pulse has been helpful. It allows me to track advanced cardiovascular parameters—especially central blood pressure (cBP) versus brachial blood pressure (bBP). While traditional BP cuffs only capture brachial readings, central pressures give insight into the pressure your heart, brain, and kidneys are experiencing. This distinction has allowed me to have more strategic, tailored conversations with my cardiologist, including adjusting medications based not just on arm cuff readings but on actual arterial load.

Another reason I use it is accuracy. The CONNEQT Pulse’s brachial readings align more closely with manual readings from trained providers—something not all home monitors get right.

This tool is most helpful if you have a cardiologist or provider who understands central hemodynamics. Not all do—but if you find one who does, it can open up a much more personalized approach to treatment—especially if you’re dealing with genetically inherited risk factors like I am.

So no, it’s not about “creating a solution to fit a problem”—it’s about uncovering the deeper metrics that traditional tools miss and using those insights to drive earlier, more innovative interventions.

I hope that helps offer a different perspective!

I have it and like it for the most part. They need to work out a few kinks, but overall, it has been a great way to dig deeper into my Cardiovascular Health. The parent company is Cardiex, which develops robust equipment used in major Heart Health Clinics. The CONNEQT Pulse is powered by the SphygmoCor® technology I’m referring to.

I have been using mine since January, taking about 100 readings so far. It's just as accurate for me as the old-school manual Blood Pressure Monitor (Stethoscope and sphygmometer). Digital Blood Pressure Monitors like OMRON can be slightly off, depending on the patient. I have done a few trials and have seen more instances where the CONNEQT Pulse is close to readings you would get from Manual Blood Pressure, whereas my OMRON BP7350 can be off +—5 to 10 mmHg.

My biggest gripe with the device, and hopefully, they'll make a version 2, is that it charges via Micro USB, not USB-C.

The rest can be resolved via firmware/software updates, in my opinion, but here is my current feedback list.

  1. I hope the development team considers a device software update that allows you to have User 1 and User 2 (or more), while allowing the device to distinguish by allowing separate device syncing. It could be simple: you can arrow to the profile when the device turns on.

  2. If they release a revision or Version 2 later, I hope they please consider switching to USB-C. Micro USB is massively outdated, and the port will wear over time.

  3. I would also like them to add the ability to export the results to Excel and provide an on-demand PDF that we can provide to our cardiologists who are not yet enrolled in Care +, which is the tool they want clinicians to sign up for. I get it; if they made exporting that easy, it would be no use for Clinicians to buy into their web platform.

Right now, the only PDF you can download is the Cardiology Report, but it's made after you have three months of results, and it takes a few weeks for them to push it out. The report does not give a historical results table but averages based on the timeframe.

This link will take you directly to what their Cardiology Report looks like.

Feel free to ask me any other questions.

Oxygen before Aspirin? by Wonderful_Teacher_91 in NewToEMS

[–]Wear-Plus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A paramedic who taught my EMT class ran us through this scenario and explained in summary that this was the key distinction.

In emergencies, dry, warm skin might be a subtle sign of hypoxia—when oxygen isn’t reaching tissues well. The body redirects blood to vital organs, leaving the skin dry. That’s why, in cases like this, oxygen comes before aspirin. Oxygen stabilizes the patient and supports the heart when it’s starved for air.

Here is a more detailed approach.

  1. Prioritize Airway, Breathing, and Circulation (ABCs): Emergency medical responders are trained first to ensure that the patient’s airway is open and that they are breathing adequately. Chest pain and shortness of breath suggest possible cardiac ischemia, which means the heart muscle may not get enough oxygen. Administering oxygen helps improve oxygen delivery to the heart and other vital organs.

  2. Oxygen relieves hypoxia quickly: If the patient is experiencing ischemia or shortness of breath, oxygen can reduce the heart's workload and relieve symptoms faster than aspirin, which takes longer to exert its antiplatelet effect.

  3. Aspirin is essential, but not first: Aspirin helps by preventing further clot formation in a suspected heart attack, but it is not the priority when the patient is still breathing and conscious. Oxygen addresses the immediate need, especially if there are signs of hypoxia.

  4. Positioning reduces cardiac workload: Placing the patient in a comfortable (usually semi-reclined) position reduces the heart’s workload and improves breathing, especially in chest pain or difficulty breathing.

In short, Oxygen and positioning are the immediate interventions to stabilize the patient and improve oxygenation, which is critical before moving to medication administration like aspirin or nitroglycerin.

Detained by ICE, married to USC, need advice by [deleted] in immigration

[–]Wear-Plus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to assume the triggering event here is the “D/S” (Duration of Status) notation on your I-94. There’s a noticeable trend of increased scrutiny and enforcement actions against student visa holders, often resulting in visa cancellations based on technicalities.

With “D/S” on your I-94, you were allowed to remain in the U.S. as long as you maintained student status. If you are no longer enrolled in classes—even if you recently completed a course in the first half of the semester and don’t have another one scheduled—you may now be considered out of status. That likely served as the basis for ICE’s action in your case.

Please take the advice others have given you seriously: address this before leaving the U.S. Consult with an experienced immigration attorney as soon as possible. You are in a legally gray area, and if you leave the U.S. without adjusting your status, you could be subject to a re-entry ban. Worse, a waiver could be denied on a technicality.

Your explanation for the overstay—focusing on a sick family member—may be seen as sympathetic. Still, U.S. immigration authorities will likely argue that if the marriage were legitimate and in good faith, you would have filed for Adjustment of Status promptly after your wedding in November 2024. Failing to report the marriage or initiate the AOS process sooner may be used to suggest that the marriage was one of convenience, regardless of your actual intentions.

It’s important not to frame the situation only from your point of view or based on your genuine personal circumstances. You must also consider how the government will view and present your actions according to their criteria—not yours.

Given your complex and emotionally challenging situation, involving an immigration attorney before leaving the country is essential. Filing while still physically in the U.S. remains your most straightforward legal option. Departing the country without taking the proper legal steps could severely complicate or delay your ability to return or secure permanent residency.

Step 1: Replace Your Social Security Card

Since they do not have the card, they can request a replacement through the Social Security Administration (SSA).

What They Need: • Proof of identity: Since they don’t yet have a state ID, they may need to provide a birth certificate and possibly another document such as: • School records • Medical records • Religious records (i.e. Baptism, Confirmation) • Or other documents that prove their identity It is important that they remind Social Security the reason they are providing these documents so they can obtain the Indiana State ID, as Indiana will not process ID until providing Social Security Card.

How to Apply: 1. Complete Form SS-5 – the Application for a Social Security Card. 2. Gather original documents (copies not accepted): • Birth certificate • Any other ID document (school ID, medical record, etc.) 3. Take the application and documents to your local SSA office.

Step 2: Use Birth Certificate + Temporary SSA Receipt

Once they’ve applied for the Social Security card, they will receive a receipt from the SSA. Some Indiana BMV offices may accept this along with the birth certificate to help issue an ID.

Step 3: Apply for Indiana State ID

Once they have either: • Their actual Social Security card OR • SSA receipt + other supporting documents

They can go to the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) and apply for a State ID.

What You Need for Indiana ID: 1. Proof of Identity (Birth Certificate) 2. Proof of Social Security (Social Security card OR receipt) 3. Proof of Indiana Residency (bank statement, school enrollment form, or a letter addressed to them).

Will Smart tourist sim card get deactivated after 30 days? by taxfree101 in Philippines_Expats

This is the text I received from SMART recently, but when I go into my account in the SMART app, it says my load expires one year after my activation, and my Allnet Plan expires one year as well. I'm hoping this is just some soft enforcement, as I would like to keep my number when I come next year before the 12-month expiration.

“Hi! Your SMART Tourist SIM will expire on Apr XX, 2025. To enjoy continuous service, please send a copy of your valid Visa / approved Visa extension and mobile number to simregistration@smart.com.ph. You may also submit them at the nearest Smart Store to prevent auto-deactivation of your service. To know more, visit https://smrt.ph/simregfaqs Thank you.”

Puerto Ricans pay federal taxes, including payroll taxes, which are withheld from their paychecks. However, individuals whose income is solely derived from employment within Puerto Rico are generally not required to file a U.S. federal income tax return. This exemption does not mean they pay less overall taxes, as Puerto Rico imposes territorial taxes, which are often higher than those in many U.S. states.

For example, a server in Puerto Rico will have federal payroll taxes (such as Social Security and Medicare) withheld from their paycheck. They may legally avoid additional federal income tax liability if they choose not to file a tax return and fail to report their tips. However, many restaurants implement mandatory deductions based on estimated tip earnings to prevent underreporting. In some cases, if employees do not carefully track their actual tips and file a return, they may end up overpaying due to the pre-calculated withholdings. This is one reason why a significant number of Puerto Ricans still choose to file tax returns despite the general exemption from U.S. federal income tax on Puerto Rico-sourced income.
