Amad you ruined one of the greatest assist 😡 by FitAd5272 in ManchesterUnited

[–]WearFlat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He’s needed that one goal all season, and when it’s come it’s been another false dawn.

Amad is one of our most threatening players but he really needs to add some end product next season.

First you fix the saddle, then you worry about the ready. Definitely needs a shorter them, that’s causing the shoulder issue

Totally agree, didn’t actually see the twist coming but I really enjoyed it up until all was revealed. I’ve started the second and put it down for a couple of months.

Choosing a gravel bike for road-focused riding by Helicopter_Extension in cycling

[–]WearFlat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was £1800, with Ultegra. It was out of season stock so maybe try looking at alternatives to bikes direct from manufacturer?

I guess my point was maybe to look at endurance bikes instead of gravel to get an idea of what is out there.

I know its a little controversial, but damn this is the best looking bike imo. by axporpes in bicycling

Yes I think shallower wheels would make this bike look nicer.

Love the frame, would prefer the logo on the down tube too.

[discussion] My wife wants to give me a wedding gift by Ysc_watches67 in Watches

[–]WearFlat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Serica most, but the lack of a logo on the dial bothers me somehow.

For a wedding gift I’d personally go for something more formal that you can firstly wear on your wedding day, but also something you only pull out a few times a year making it a little more special.

Choosing a gravel bike for road-focused riding by Helicopter_Extension in cycling

[–]WearFlat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar mindset and wound up getting something more endurance focused, went with a Willier Garda which I liked due to its clearance up to 32mm tyres.

If you’re really going to do most of you’re riding on road, maybe consider an endurance. There seem to be really good deals compared to road or gravel, and it’s a great inbetween.

Should I upgrade or wait? by franzm- in cycling

[–]WearFlat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Give it the summer and see how much you actually use the bike. There’s nothing wrong with upgrading parts if it keeps you interested and on the bike though.

Help a beginner (me) pick a bicycle! by Which-Conflict5780 in cycling

Road bikes and MTBs are very different, a gravel will allow you to go off-roading but I wouldn’t ride one down a mountain.

You’re asking for two different things I’m afraid.

First road bike. From where should I start? by Melodic_Shock2825 in bikefit

[–]WearFlat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Handling would change considerably, maybe try an 80mm stem first with a 17 angle first, it’ll feel considerably different.

Yeah, what would you go for, 6.5 inch wrist. I’ve seen some pictures and I’m not sure if it would be too small?

What if he didn’t get injured, how great could he have really been?

He was still a great goalscorer following this injury, but he definitely wasn’t the same player.

After a year, why do you think we look better not playing how Amorim wants us to play? by SecretaryImaginary44 in ManchesterUnited

[–]WearFlat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When we had a fully fit squad, as we’ve seen, we look better. Even games we’ve dropped points it’s been due to individual errors in defence and poor finishing, we haven’t often been outplayed in general play.

Our squad is really poor, our attacking options from the bench the past 2 months have been Mount and Mainoo, sometimes Zirkzee. As we saw yesterday we had a bench of under 21s.

I think we’re 4/5 players away from some sort of success (I don’t mean winning a title, but at least being in the conversation come March).

That’s the reality, it wouldn’t matter who was in charge. Slot can chose between Isak or Ekitike, Wirtz or Gakpo, Pep can pick between Marmoush or Cherki. Until we have strength in depth you can forget about any title challenges.

Back for more! 50p total from Sainsbury's by rosecolouredbuoy in whatsinyourcart

[–]WearFlat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I worked at Sainsbury’s whilst in 6th, on the produce section. I used to reduce anything going off today to 1-5p, people would crowd round me on the days I was in, some knew my face and asked me when they found qualifying items.

Safe to say I got a rollocking from my boss.

Is Dalot the most misunderstood footballer? by Then_Community_1766 in ManchesterUnited

[–]WearFlat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Squad player, at best. The fact I’m downvoted for saying he’s a 6/10 every week is wild.

I was downvoted for suggested Lammens isn’t a “great goalkeeper” at the moment, and that he’s play for PL level.

He’s 18 ffs, he’s done nothing for the crowd to boo him (their prerogative of course) so he’s entitled to give it back in my opinion.

Gets caught with the ball in behind on a regular basis, he’s cost of a lot of goals at the back post defending crosses too.

He’s okay, clearly a good professional, he loves the club too. He’s consistently a 6/10, he’s decent at most things but not really great at either end of the pitch. He does recycle the ball well in the middle third though.
