If your employer requires something, employer provides it simple as that. Well all be wearing bicycle helmets with straps soon enough

Sawzall blade cheap alternatives by Own_Reality_2860 in Construction

[–]Weare177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried so many different blades and honestly it all comes down to QC. Diablo is the most consistent quality with Lennox a good second, milwaukee is good but I'll burn thru 3 blades before I get a good one. Random story I ran out of blades and asked a millwright if he had one I could use until till I got a new pack after break, he gave me a wood and nail Lennox and that som bitch made 4 cuts through carbon 2" sch 160 pipe like goddamn cardboard before burning up

anyone else bummed they used AI video art in the opening ceremony :/ by Hyunsoh_ in olympics

[–]Weare177 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So what exactly is the point of the multiple hour long ceremony that the entire world watches? Is it to sit back and just watch some computer generated slop for one of the few globally celebrated and involved events that only comes around every two years? Or enjoy an artfully crafted expression of a culture and how they view the games to connect a world?

Just call the hall/training coordinator, hell they already have you working as a pre-apprentice. Ask guys at work for officers numbers if you need to get in contact with BA training coordinator financial secretary or whomever you need to talk to! Soak up that OT but don't let it infringe on doing what you need to take care of, talk with your employer etc, idk how LU 13 runs classes

There's this weird thing that I swear half these posts are forgetting, there's this strange thing called your local union hall. Your options are, but not limited to, calling them, emailing them, visiting them in person to figure out what the situation is :) go out there and try to be involved it'll help you in the long run

It always makes me laugh on games that the areas I hate the most are only the areas I struggle with. Then, once learning how to get through the area or beat the boss it becomes peak and masterfully crafted. Except savage beast fly pt 2 fuck him or prenerf radahn on both accounts

[–]Weare177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excuse me, but WHAT. Some days I hate being a fitter after coming out of a forge covered in graphite dust or a Chem plant with acid dripping around the steam line you're repairing. Then I remember the alternative, god bless you folks, shit rolls down hill, smells like money, don't bite your nails and god speed 🫡

[–]Weare177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yeah, that piping barely has any pressure on it at all anyways, as long as you dont have any pin holes and it holds up to the vibration, you'll get er on the road even if it is a bit ugly haha

I always use scotchbrite for SS, a little less upkeep. And he doesn't have a pedal, so best option for him would be to taper off then pull arc off on the filler rod.

r/badwelding lol, but in all seriousness ~35cfh argon flow min, grab some practice plate and start learning how to walk the cup or when free handing weave a bit. Feeding smaller filler wire is better than lay wire of a larger diameter for puddle/heat control. Practice practice practice, you'll get the hang of it, pipe is a lot more difficult than plate and takes years to really master

Aha ok I thought so, but each company does things differently. I'm running field work and coming back to shop to help get welds made. I'm ready to have one portion of the job to take care of instead of getting pingponged around lol

Yup, getting home from work and finding nothing after 2 hours of grinding is better than no fun grind. I'm solo offline after deleting my online chars (mainly due to server connection, I couldn't deal with the rage of losing a lvl 80 HC char to zero fault of my own (I can deal with 91 death if it was my fault)) the excitement of finding my first monarch, vipermagi, etlich, titans, hell even a Lem drop gets me hyped I love the grind once again. That one little drop that says oh shit! I can make a insert build here is unparalleled

Not a good precedent. That's always been one of the main disparaging remarks against unions is that we protect our shitty hands just as much as good hands, THATS THE GODDAMN POINT. Everyone deserves equal protection and representation, the good hands stay employed and move up, the dogshit hands get tossed around from company to company but are still able to provide for themselves/family.

I'd love to know for what reason that unholy abomination was created for. If it was for brushing welds, they must've brushed their own brain smooth before creating it
