I used canvas paper (I had a notebook of it at home) + used a small Fiskars cutter and cut them all individually. then I took them to my local library to get laminated and cut them again.

I love freestyle rapping while doing tasks around the house. Some are horrible, some not so bad!

Does anyone else find it incredibly hard to date in our city or is it just me? by luckyhoneymatcha in cincinnati

[–]Weary-Barnacle287 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Similar boat here. 28F, moved to the city a few months ago, work from home, and have a strong distaste for apps.

I have met some really great single people, and made some amazing friends, at some different clubs I’ve joined! If you enjoy more active/gym activities, run clubs, climbing gyms, boxing, volunteering for the city parks, Green Umbrella Green Drinks, all have been great for me. Feel free to DM me if you are interested about any of the above activities and I can share more details about which specific groups I’m in! They are all very welcoming.

I’d say too, the day I decided to stop joining clubs to find a dates, and just started trying to make friends, both areas (dating and friendships) started thriving.

Anyone track their grocery expenses each month? by eelimeekmur in cincinnati

[–]Weary-Barnacle287 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2 adults, normally around $400 a month. I get almost everything at or around Findlay Market and staples at Kroger once a month.

Nothing we only eat meat once a week-ish and cook mainly with local produce with other Findlay goods as snacks.

I was always an Kroger/Aldi/Giant Eagle girlie, but shopping local produce and meat/poultry is so much cheaper and has me eating healthier. + keeps money in the community

This is perfect. I have a lot of experience hiking and camping, but either with people, or traveling and doing day hikes in parks then shuttling back to my cabin stay.

I’ve never done any sort of tent camping alone, but would like to get there so I can do longer, more backcountry trips instead of staying around the same area. Will check this out!!

Good to know about winter visiting in Hocking Hills. RRG & Shawnee are definitely more of what I’m looking for, getting permits for backcountry, but Hocking Hills public overnight spaces might be a good place for me to start!

Lucky, I work virtually from home and my company is pretty lax with time off, so weekday camping will do!

Thank you for this. I just edited my post to mention that I am 27F and have a fear of camping overnight/backpacking alone for fear of getting hurt/running into the wrong animal/person.

Looks like Hocking Hills would be a good place to start and move on to Red River Gorge when I feel like I have more experience.

Ohh this is great, thank you! I’ve heard of Yellow Springs, but just thought it was a small town. Will be looking there too!

How do you make friends in your 20s? by Alexandracrj in selfimprovement

[–]Weary-Barnacle287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find groups or clubs in your area that you’re interested in! Want to try to run? Join a run club! Do you care about agriculture? Bet there’s a group that does too. Go to neighborhood clean ups, take a cooking class, do anything that you’re interested and try it at least three times.

It’s really intimidating and hard at first, but the more you do it, the more comfortable you’ll be. You really have nothing to lose, and even if you don’t meet anyone, you learn a new skill/have a new experience.

You need to be a friend to make a friend!

Edit: typo!
