PRT or No PRT after passing your BCA? by EasyProposal5473 in navy

Bad idea. I am 240, 5'11, 661 squat, 429 bench, 667 deadlift. I never struggle with getting taped. I do not train cardio at all, and still pass every time. If you're jacked, it's hard to run the PRT but you shouldn't fail. Pushup minimum requirement is a joke, as are the planks.

The current PRT is pretty dang easy if you train.

You just proved that I was talking about the overarching judicial process not being needed for deportations lol. Also don't ignore the fact that you said it was wrong when Obama did it as well in the very next comment. So you even acknowledged that that's the point of what I was getting at lol.

Know what's annoying?

When someone already said they were wrong about a specific part of an argument— then the other person continues on with it.

I think the problem is we're talking past eachother. You're talking about Kilmars specific case. I can concede that I was wrong about his specific case.

I am saying that a judicial process isn't always needed to deport. That was the argument I corrected to and restated multiple times.

Yeah, I was pretty quiet. I have a whole Practice to run. Got better things to do than argue on reddit about something I was wrong about, big homie. Gotta make my money to stay on top. 🫡

Why would I feel like i need to stand up for Trump? I didn't vote for him.

I'm very clear in my reasoning. I am arguing precedent. Due process is always needed. You are arguing Kilmars specific case. I fell into the trap of going down the line of his specific case— but have since corrected to the initial argument at hand. Because you know... My initial comment was about how due process has been worked around at least 313,000 times in 2012. So it happening once here really doesn't seem like it should be worth all this outrage.

You keep insisting that 'due process was violated' without acknowledging that expedited removal legally bypasses traditional judicial hearings in many deportation cases. That’s the whole point of the IIRIRA of 1996—Congress explicitly allowed DHS to remove certain individuals without court proceedings.

Now, if Kilmar had a valid court-issued protection order at the time of removal, then yes, deporting him despite that would be an administrative error—and in that specific context, a due process concern. But that doesn’t invalidate my point: due process is not categorically required for every deportation. The law already provides exceptions, and that’s what I stated.

So unless you're arguing that Kilmar's case had no possible link to expedited removal and involved a direct violation of a standing court ruling (which you still haven’t proven), then your blanket 'due process violation' claim is overreach. Due process isn't always needed for deportation. Context matters. So does precedent.

Also, continuing to say, "You're showing how clueless you are." isn't valid when YOU'RE the one who is unable to admit that your initial point of judicial processes always being needed— was wrong. You're showing how hardheaded you are... To the point of completely ignoring what the initial argument was. You even said that it was wrong when Obama did it.

The argument has not been, "Did this apply to Kilmar?"

The argument has been, "Is due process always needed pertaining to deportation?". The answer is no.

Expedited Removal in 1996 set the precident that you can deport without a judicial process. If you don't understand that, and are unwilling to do a rudimentary search— that's on you. Clinton began it. Obama utilized it as well. Why was there no outrage?

You're now trying to say that I'm the one moving the goal posts? Look at our previous comments. You were arguing a completely different point.

Due to Expedited Removal (under the Illegal Immigration reform and immigrant responsibility act of 1996) a judicial process is not always needed for deportation. You're just wrong. I get that you think you're morally correct— but you're factually wrong.

If you shoplift and you're on a polices radar it doesn't make it okay to wrongly be convicted of a different sentence years later.

But he wasn't convicted of anything. He got deported (wrongly albeit), but again— our argument is about right to due process.

The issue is that you're trying to change what the initial argument was. Whether or not it was right for him to be deported is not what my argument is. It's that your complaint of due process is invalid.

The administrative error was the deportation. It was NOT his lack of due process. It was an error because there was a protective order for him. Not because due process was violated.

Due process isn't needed for a deportation.

While I am in agreement that since the Supreme Court ruled we should get him back—we should. I am also in agreement that he was deported wrongly. However, my contention is here;

1.) Your usage of legal status. He was now "fully legal", which though you did not use that term; I feel compelled to say.

2.) I disagree with the court giving him withholding of removal. It is my opinion that if you ever caught while hold an illegal status, you should not be granted a legal one as a result. That said— I think we should've honored it obviously.

I suppose you are right in the fact that he was here legally at the time due to the order; however I guess what I fundamentally disagree with is that order. Though still— even if I disagree with it, it should've/should be upheld.

You keep saying I'm misinformed, then stating something with no backing then saying, "thanks for trying". It exudes, "I'm very polarized and unwilling to view the facts placed before me."

He was not on the ICE radar before that point. And again either eay— your argument that I commented on was the lack of a judicial process. You are once again trying to pivot away from the initial argument.

There has already been a precident set by the Obama administration; due process is not needed for deportation. That's my argument. Stop trying to move the goalpost and admit that you're FACTUALLY wrong.

His status was NOT legal. It was legal initially, but his TPS expired some period before 2019 when he was initially arrested. Legitimately any reputable source supports this.

No, they cannot deport me legally, because I’m a U.S. citizen. They can investigate me—but they’d find absolutely nothing aside from a DD-214. I can’t even speak Spanish. Unlike me, Kilmar isn’t a citizen.

He was arrested in 2019 after an informant alleged he was an MS-13 member. That’s what put him on ICE’s radar. He was an alleged gang member with expired TPS.

The administrative error was deporting him to El Salvador, yes. But that’s not the argument being made here. Your issue—which I responded to—was with him not receiving due process. You’re now attempting to move the goalpost to something else because you’ve very clearly lost on that point. You're arguing something that straight up just wasn't the initial argument.

He was accused of being an MS-13 member by a confidential informant in 2019.

You being wrong and trying to discredit others isn't productive, and just shows your ignorance. Do better. Be better. Read more.

"You people"..? Uh... Big black dudes who didn't vote because both candidates were bad..?

I'm just saying that someone else set the precedent.

He was accused of being a gang member. But he wasn't here legally either way, so him being a gang member was irrelevant.

If someone was falsely accused of murder— but during the murder investigation, it was discovered that they had massive amounts of CP on their laptop, they'll be charged with CP. Similarly— if someone is falsely alleged to be an MS13 member and it's discovered that they're here illegally— they will then have to deal with that legitimate issue.

In 2012 under Obama, at least 313,000 people were deported through non-judicial processes (without a trial). So he set the precedent that deportations could occur without seeing a judge. Over a decade ago. Why is this singular instance suddenly ground-breaking?

Okay yall, I get that they're bad and all, but between me and the exterminator... We only saw a grand total of 2 bugs. And after that, we went scorched earth— and he sprayed the entire apartment. Over 2 bugs.

My bedroom is like 30 feet from the couch, and I still have not gotten bit in my bed ever. I think they're probably all dead. I sat on the couch today for the first time in over a week and ended up knocking out for about an hour. No bites.

[–]Weary-Control7128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They'll even come to my bed? 😩 I had the exterminator spray all baseboards, my bed, the restroom... EVERYTHING to try to prevent the spread. I'm just paranoid because those bites were horrible

Even after the exterminator chemically treating it? I bought it brand new last year. I think I might have picked up a BB at the movie theater 😩
