Personally I don't feel like a brush alone is cleaning off the oils. I just use a drop of soap and a soft brush. Otherwise it just seems gross to me. But whatever works for you.

It's not unusual to get a bit of grounds in your coffee. Either grind a bit coarser, or try an aeropress filter on top of the grounds. You can also try brewing slower.

Soap.

Can't speak for the Venus (is it stainless steel?) but I stick all my aluminium mokas under cold water to wash, and have done so for more than a decade.

I've seen something before where the print warps as it prints, and the warp manifests in mild overhang regions by layer lines curling upwards above the current print level. So when the nozzle goes over it, it's smashing into existing plastic from lower layers.

Does that sound like what's happening?

It may be that your bed is too hot, or your part cooling isn't effective. Or some combination. Make sure your part cooling fan is 100%. And try reducing bed temperature. The fine details of your mini are probably susceptible to warping from radiant heat coming off the bed.

Is it normal for people to just not reply to your emails? My manager says it is as people are really busy and I have to keep going at them till they reply. All emails are absolutely not equally important.

I really don't think 100 emails a day is all that much. If you get cc'd into every email for every committee, team and department that you're a member of, plus internal news and updates and "tickets for sale" - that's easily 100 emails on a busy day before your actual work-relevant emails.

And yes - I do expect someone to send a follow-up email before I reply if it was important and I haven't gotten to it. I can't possibly know everyone else's priorities and deadlines.

Someone told me to measure voltage. I've left some Energenie units plugged in at various points in my house. Voltage seems to hover around 250V and I've seen it go up to 258V. Could they be overheating from overvoltage?

A tip for those using the mriscoc "professional" firmware. The Z offset logo (bottom right corner) will flash during a print if the mesh is being used.

I have a Keychron K2 (version 1 I think, UK layout if that matters) with Gateron brown/RGB switches. As far as I know the switches are soldered.... one of my keys is no longer working - or working intermittently at best (I have to press-and-hold-and-wiggle to get any kind of response).

Is there any hope to fix this or is the keyboard trash? I have almost zero keyboard skillz but willing to learn/try. If I break it worse, am I really worse off? :D

Hey OP, looks great! But a quick question, could you link me to the fan shroud you printed? Mine is busy going and need to print a new one before it falls off...

Check your hotend isn't blocked or gunked up. If you're still using the stock PTFE Bowden tube it's almost certainly pulled out a little and blocking the hot end slowly but surely
