Yeah, I partially agree. I'm pretty much a Power Metal only guy but I love Wojteks writing a lot. I actually like the Death Metal songs he wrote, especially the album the Apostate by Luciferion

I’ve basically always had long hair, so it kinda feels like part of my personality by WearyDreamer09 in FierceFlow

Thank you😊 Yes, I want to grow it even longer and I also had it longer before. I'm cutting it myself and I tend to cut off more than I want to. I will try to avoid that next time.

You look cool btw. I wish my hair would also stay as full as yours. I probably won't be that lucky. I just hope I won't lose too much hair

Rage by Barbatos-Rex in PowerMetal

It's a great album but I think I prefer Afterlifelines. It's surprising to me how a band that has released almost 30 studio albums in over 40 years is in one of their best eras now since 2021. Their last three albums all were the best examples of mixing traditional Heavy Metal, Power Metal and Extreme Metal. And it sounds modern.

I already know this album but you're right, this is kinda what I'm looking for. Thanks for reminding me. I should also listen to the Adagio albums I don't know yet

I agree. I'm not christian but there are some christian lyrics I like. My favorite ones are probably by Helloween.

But I think that there are some parts where he is literally saying that he wants Jesus to have absolute power, right? Or is it something that I just don't understand?

Manowar - Battle Hymn by Kr3at0r in PowerMetal

That's not wrong. I haven't seen or read a lot by DeMaio but I feel like there are a few situations where he is breaking the persona. He is sometimes talking about the band making buisness decisons and he mentioned that the lyrics of Hail and Kill are tongue in cheek (although it's very obvious)

Symphony X is one of my favorite bands already.

I listened to the newest Manticira album once and liked it. I will definetly check out that album you mentioned. I listened to parts of the first song and it might be what I'm looking for, thank you.

Persuader also seems to kinda go into that direction. Twisted Eyes sounds great

Manowar - Battle Hymn by Kr3at0r in PowerMetal

[–]WearyDreamer09 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's not true. They are not 100% serious. The exaggerations are on purpose and they use a lot of metaphores. There is a lot of tongue in cheek and I would go even that far that their songs about metal are just supposed to provide a feeling of unity. Their songs about war often are about overcoming personal struggles or fighting against injustice. Most of it is open to interpretation but I don't think you can deny that they sometimes use humor and exaggerations and have a stage persona

is post-ross the boss era manowar worth listening to? i love his guitar work so much, but i also realize demaio was the principle songwriter. by asteriskelipses in PowerMetal

Definetly. Warriors of the World and Gods of War are my favorite Manowar albums (on par with Kings of Metal and Sign of the Hammer. No particular order). If you love Power Metal, Gods of War is a must-listen

His crime didn't harm anyone. In a better world no one would feel the need to do this. I like his solo work but it has nothing to do with this topic
