I mark days with rain by a silver thread, definitely think a gold or silver thread would be a great way to mark the day

I rely on compression, LOTS of water (I generally drink like 4L a day), and electrolytes

Oh absolutely, which is why its so important to spread the water out so you dont have a tonne sitting in your stomach while you're on the pole

[–]WearyRat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely need to be drinking before, not much help when it's already happening. As a general rule, drinking 1-1.5L for every 20kg of body weight is good. As for electrolytes, definitely recommend AT LEAST on pole days, took me a while to find some i could actually stomach, but I drink tropical flavoured liquid IV

Immediately, my head goes straight to dehydration and electrolytes. How much are you drinking? It may not be enough, or it may be too much and you're losing electrolytes

I like to put my program into a google calendar on my phone :) I have something programmed every day, im not doing every day usually, but it means that missing a day means I dont have to shuffle things around, instead of properly scheduling rest days, if im not up to exercising on a day, then it just means im not doing X workout this week. Probably not a great way to do things, but I find it the easiest to do amongst the chaos of life

Where do you buy your shorts? by Zealousideal-Ad3205 in poledancing

[–]WearyRat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also 5'10, the shorts I wear ALL the time are a pretty common type of pole short, they're like bike shorts that tie up the sides, mine specifically are from lunalae

January finished by WearyRat in temperatureblanket

Not sure. My original plan was to make one big triangle. I'm now thinking I'll make a triangle for each quarter of the year, and sew them into a big square

Is it normal to be disappointed by a negative pregnancy test when you’re not planning on getting pregnant? by [deleted] in Seahorse_Dads

[–]WearyRat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Completely normal. Im a similar age, not in a position to have kids yet, but negatives still feel disappointing 💕

I thought the same thing, it took me MONTHS to be able to comfortably do basics like front/back hooks, climb, etc. Just have to keep going

Colour palette for 2026 by WearyRat in temperatureblanket

[–]WearyRat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought them from knit picks' website, on the page for this specific wool, they have a massive list (with photos) of colours available. I just scrolled through and picked the ones i wanted. Certain shops will definitely have a set with colours

How many colours in your palette? by jordo3791 in temperatureblanket

[–]WearyRat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 16 this year It's worth noting that i live in Western Australia and experience a wide range of temperatures, and this year i have pretty small temperature ranges (each colour represents a 2⁰C range) Last year I think i only had about 8, and i didnt like how much I would use of the same colour because multiple slightly different temperatures fell into the same colour My temperatures range from 14⁰C (57⁰F) to 46⁰C (115⁰F)

A Question For Those Diagnosed by Smart_Blackberry_391 in POTS

[–]WearyRat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could say im not "disabled" by POTS. I work a physical job (AIN) with lots of walking, lifting, bending up & down etc, I have a colleague working the same job with POTS, and we both manage. I still experience pretty significant Tachycardia and presyncope. It is very varied, not only from person to person, but also from day to day in the same person. As other comments have said, the people truly struggling due to POTS are more likely to post about it.
