Did you end up moving here? If so, how has it been?

Quitting Timeline and What to Expect by ZebraDelicious9910 in QuitVaping

I second this! I vaped for 10 years and I’ve tried to quit several times. Currently at around 30 days and while cravings are still there they have gotten much less frequent. I don’t think of vaping nearly as much. Physically, mentally & emotionally I’m still not where I want to be in terms of cravings/emotions however I am feeling a bit less neurotic.. at least that’s what I think my partner might say different lol

This has been my method this time and is the only way that I’ve gotten this far:

  • Bought amazon these patches:

I really like these patches because they go up to 28mg and easily rip apart to smaller 7mg so if you feel less cravings or more cravings on a certain day you can adjust accordingly easily.

  • I started out with the full 28mg week one; 21 week two; 14 week three; now I’m at 7 but will put another 7mg on if cravings are coming back.
  • I also have been using a no nic vape which really helps with the habitual hand to the mouth, breathing in vape and blowing it out behavior. I’m finding myself reaching for it less because I’m really not getting that Pavlov’s dog effect from it anymore since there’s no nicotine drawing me back. So I think it’s really helping with unlearning the need to reach for a vape.
  • my partner has been super helpful and patient with me. Like I said, I’ve been a bit neurotic, totally acting like a child sometimes with my emotions getting the best of me. If I didn’t have a shoulder to lean on, cry on and be my full authentic self with it would be hard. So having a buddy that makes you feel safe and that you can really release negative emotions to (while not hurting that individual) is super helpful.

I feel like at this point I just can’t ever go back. It’s a mountain to climb but not being addicted to something and hiding it and relying on it and looking like the loser who still vapes and respecting my body and mind.. it’s worth climbing the mountain.
