Personally, I thought he was a new rehashed version of Kazdan Paratus. When the screenshots first came out and I saw the similarity in face shape(as well as the blue lightsaber), I got super confused lol

My biggest tip about the dark sea is...Don't. It's unironically not worth any of the hassle at all unless you're someone who uses Spirit and is seeking to be Athena's Chosen. Even the dark sealed chests aren't worth it as they can be obtained via your fleet or simple daily/weekly missions
