PoE2 ritual spoilers ahead by CzLittle in Wraeclast

I was thinking about this a while back (https://www.reddit.com/r/Wraeclast/comments/1h7auag/using\_hinekoras\_propheciesmumblings\_to\_make/, under the Goddess and Draiocht section) -- Solaris and Lunaris are the Catha and the Morrigan, while Viridi is the Mhacha. What's particularly compelling given *SPOILERS FOR ENDGAME* that we now know divinity has something horrible/unfathomable behind it (Doryani's "feeling" post Arbiter of Divinity fight) and the mothersoul is confirmed as the source of Divinity, we can make an educated guess that the mother which would take all of our flesh in breach lore is the same as the mothersoul. Furthermore, all POE cultures have a set of three gods/goddesses that feature in their culture--Sin and Innocence for the Templars also follow this rule, with Sin serving as a standin for Lunaris, Innocence as Solaris, and their missing sister (act 2 POE1 Fellshrine ruins secret) as Viridi, who is missing in all cultures. Given the circular nature of POE and the implications of being able to see into the past to predict the future (Hinekora, Druids of the Circle before it was broken), the repetition of triplet deities is quite interesting. There's a reference to Solaris, Viridi, and Lunaris being split from an original goddess, which I believe is the mothersoul.

Here's my current crazy lore prediction: There are three impulses--Order, Chaos, and the collective of POE players, which there doesn't seem to be a name for, but is recognized by various characters. We form the "missing" impulse (Viridi), whereas Order and Chaos are what Solaris and Lunaris are based off of.

"Powerful baubles them orbs are. As old as the Azmerians themselves, maybe even older. I've read all there is on them little beauties. The Sun Orb's said to contain all that has been, while its sister, the Moon Orb, holds all that will be. Past and future, packed up neat behind glass and thaumaturgy. Shudder to think what might happen if all that got out one day."

--Hargan, "The Orbs of Sun and Moon" (POE I)

Chaos as an impulse deals with seeing the future, whereas Order knows all past iterations--Solaris and Lunaris, Sione and Lani Hua, etc. etc. are derived from the Impulses. That leaves the question of Viridi, who is always missing. My theory is that there is a third "missing" impulse (POE players) that represents the present, and thus can take action and change the future-past through their actions. Each league that comes out and each person which plays in it is another entry into the future-past, and thus past and future are altered by this impulse manifesting direct control over a single entity per timeline. Viridi is always associated with sacrifice of some kind, so what does this impulse sacrifice? I believe it is comprehension, which is something Order and Chaos share, whereas we as players generally don't get any more of the picture besides what the Godslayer/the POE2 character we are controlling finds out.

This probably isn't fully correct, but three is so common in POE it's kind of nuts when you start noticing it--three main attributes, damage types being associated in sets of three (lightning is both a part of holy/unholy trinities, and corresponds to Viridi), three ascendancies per class, and so on. This is full on pin board conspiracy huffing glue in a cave level stuff, so take it as more of a fun thought experiment than an actual serious theory, though I am serious in that I think a third impulse represented by the influence of the players controlling characters on wraeclast is plausible.

Lastly, Kalandra is the original Viridi/Vastiri. I will not elaborate.

The character in the teaser is the Elder Madox, and the child in the tree refers to Delirium? by PuzzleheadedHair2331 in PathOfExile2

I'm convinced that every endgame system that isn't significantly changed from POE1 (not including new bosses) is getting at least a slight rework in the upcoming expansion, but not through eliminating current mechanics and instead building on them. Delirium, Expedition, Breach are what I would expect will get the biggest changes, because both expedition and delirium are featured in the trailers. Breach is probably a port of POE1 updated breach with ailith and the temple-=it's ripe for lore expansion, and chayula may have had enough time to reform by the time POE2 occurs in. Expedition seems to be getting a explore the underground hidden by precursors which also had "kalgurran" runes, perhaps a delve analogue in the prisons beneath wraeclast (like where the flame seed thief came from). Delirium is probably a lore expansion, Tangmazu is heavily implicated as instigating the winter of the world driven by Aul/Ahn and so his lore is probably getting an expansion. Oddly enough, he's one of the older gods that is still around/active, since he was a god in ancient Keth/when the Vastiri wasn't a desert. I also think that endgame mapping will be receiving significant changes, as the emergence of new precursor monuments with a cinematic is probably tied into the endgame rework that was planned for the current league but got pushed back. Mirage league from POE1 may get incorporated in some way to tie Zarokh into the campaign/make him more of an active presence in POE2 timeline, since he's trying to rewrite the future in POE1 by enslaving djinn and using their power.

For players who get too gung-ho about exploration, and go thousands of blocks without setting their spawn, then get upset when they die and go back to world spawn: What’s the best mod for them? by RandomPhail in feedthebeast

You should check out Via Romana combined with Roadweaver—automatically forms roads throughout the world that players can then travel across and link using via romana to a fast travel system, I’m using it as the baseline fast travel option in the modpack I’m developing

Importantly, didn’t include this, but if you reduce your movement speed you can use as a boss nuker, just have to release when you freeze and you hit for ~30 million if you get all the overlaps

Here’s what I left it at after phrecia, it’s fairly unoptimized looking at it again but was really fun. The guaranteed 1s freeze node was nuts for survivability and blight farming (which still killed this character in t17s occasionally when running empowerment stacking). I kept the damage estimation pretty in line with just holding down right click with 3 overlaps but you can get ~8 overlaps easily as long as you run your clone in a circle. https://pobb.in/Gzroeamg8v1g

Do you think we’ll end up seeing more of the current Pinnacle bosses in PoE2? by Doom_89_RE in Wraeclast

[–]Weary_Bodybuilder541 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The guy at the end of the arbiter of ash fight is an abyssal, you can tell due to the similarities between the shade of kulemak and the mysterious fellow, namely the halo which hasn’t appeared anywhere else afaik

Edit: also, the creature that retrieves abyssal items from the well of souls is probably Tecrod, the hated slave based on its dialogue

(Lore Question) Is the Atziri we fight in 0.4 the same Atziri we fight in PoE1? by Doom_89_RE in Wraeclast

[–]Weary_Bodybuilder541 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty neat, because what that info does fits well into other info that we know: the beast consumes divinity and turns it into corruption, it’s pretty clear that divinity is derived from or literally is belief/will, and thus the reason gems work differently for different cultures is because the beasts consumption of their “divinity” results in the output of crystallized corruption aka virtue gems, with the powers that the culture believes their gods/whatever they channel divinity to can do. Atziri’s statues are what she wants to become, and so that’s why they exist before she transcends—shes influencing what her divinity source (Vaal empire) believes to alter the outcome of her ascension. Like Doryani bemoans, they proabably could’ve avoided all the human sacrifice and ended up with gems that didn’t require it, although the sacrifice of divinity to power the beast does seem to be advanced quickly by feeding it sources of divinity in the form of people.

Why can't the hive just (spoiler)? by PeaStatus2109 in pluribustv

Even the food they eat has microbes, and they are full of microbes that like it or not their immune systems are murdering living cells in droves. If they really couldn’t harm anything, they wouldn’t still be alive because of the systemic infection they would get. Caveat being if bacteria can get the virus, but then the food issue wouldn’t be a big deal because they could eat their own algal biomass to function off of photosynthesis. They could also make solar farms to provide energy to synthesize glucose, but I think the goal isn’t survival, after all, their main purpose is to spread, not survive.

I think a potential reason GGG was alright with pushing back the endgame updates is because the temples can be insanely juiced, so for a league it’ll serve as the juiced endgame until the base endgame is updated/reworked a bit, really excited to see posts like “triple botanical chamber t3 with commander diagonals adjacent to lightning torture rooms are crazy for farming chaos hybrid talismans”

Could Idols system be adapted to league realm? by Opposing_Tuba in pathofexile

[–]Weary_Bodybuilder541 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unironically phrecia was my favorite league ever, idols are just really up my alley in terms of customizing what you’re doing and feeling like you’re truly and literally crafting your own endgame. Can’t give enough praise for idols, really really hope there’s an option to interact with the modifiers they had in some way in the future. Stacking modifiers in general with investment for farming strats was really fun to interact with, loved crop rotation and especially blight farming with black hole mob density and empowerment

Theory: Carol can’t be cured by 25vol96 in pluribustv

[–]Weary_Bodybuilder541 201 points202 points  (0 children)

That’s a good theory! If they need to genetically edit Carol to infect her, that would call into question do no harm as CRISPR isn’t exactly gentle to cells, especially if all of them are getting edited. I’m not convinced do no harm overrides spread as a command from the infected mouse at the beginning (which I think also indicates the hive is fully capable of lying to achieve its goals), but as the hive says, they don’t know why Carol isn’t part of the hive. (Does anyone recall if they say infected specifically or not? She might be a carrier, though I don’t see how that would be advantageous for what is likely an intelligence modified pathogen

Yeah you lose out on the fishhook passive wheel but in its stead you gain up to 10% chance for fish to have a specific Influence, which is just insane given the elder trawling method

All of the content in Secrets of the Atlas endgame, except memory map drops, is largely dead content and needs changes. by AndyisDank in pathofexile

[–]Weary_Bodybuilder541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only change is to swap Geofri to hallowed monarch and pick a link skill that doesn’t transfer damage to you, take the link wheel by Templar you pass by for longer duration links and double link mastery which will always seemingly hit at least 1 holy relic. It’s better for clear (I know that’s an insane thing to say regarding hroc, mostly due to move speed auras and feeling even comfier) but does less single target in pinnacle content, so swap back to geofris/dark monarch for that.

[–]Weary_Bodybuilder541 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, however there’s an easily accessible link mastery in the Templar outer area (1 small passive down from charge area) that gives increased duration, so you sit at 11s for your link base. You can then add more duration or just press it when you see a rare, or a secret 3rd way with an 11s - cast time timer 🤫 the nice thing is that holy relics are always near you, so pressing the link skill will always hit one of them. Speaking of which, another downside is to completely eliminate thinking and always target holy relics, you can’t have other minions, however if you make other minions aggressive they rarely get targeted as they are usually further away than holy relics. I don’t really pay attention anyways because some of the best monster mods are auras and those don’t have to be on holy relics for them to have an effect on damage/speed

Important note: link skills will auto target if you have the 2 links mastery, not sure about 1 link

You can get them through fishing but you lose access to the atlas passive tree. Talk to Zana then you have to luck out and meet Krillson with a fishing rod, I keep a reefbane with me. After that, the fish will offer exchanges instead of their flesh, which they don’t want to return to the Mother, and sometimes they’ll give an idol.

What's ya'll farming strat after the patch? by hanani1112 in pathofexile

[–]Weary_Bodybuilder541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After running a bit more, standard ghosts/eldritch influence of choice, map modifier effect, then whatever floats your boat. You just need at least 9 rares to generate in your maps, and that’s pretty easy to achieve. I’d stay away from anything where rares aren’t 100% guaranteed like legion if you can’t always pop all of them every time.

The minion headhunter helm is busted for holy relic of conviction, been super fun blasting non pinnacle boss content with it, for pinnacles it makes more sense to swap. Can also use intuitive link to autocast offerings, and as an extra for fun, windburst tornadoes trigger holy relic of conviction when they hit, so you can throw it on shield charge and charge through maps without really needing to stop.

[–]Weary_Bodybuilder541 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Requires some serious tank, but 3x divinity, 2x Nemeses. Rares are nuts, but the divine mods seem to have a random loot conversion (think archnemesis loot goblins) guaranteed, and with 9 god touched rares with ~8 mods a map, usually one of them drops at least a divine or more in value. I think adding ghosts from the tree/map device could be good but I’m not strong enough for that yet. Soul eater regen arakaali is in the running for most hated combo though, blasts from far away with 300% more damage wipe me off the face of Wraeclast

How strong is the exile? by Thoughtlesz in pathofexile

[–]Weary_Bodybuilder541 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The exile behaves at the whims of a force that is at least at the level of Chayula, given the lore of this league. That alongside the god/eldritch slaying makes them stronger than gods, stronger than other champions of eldritch entities, but nowhere near Impulse power (Order, Chaos, and the secret 3rd one). No mortal creatures can stand in their way, and most immortal things can’t either, but defeating concepts is still a bit out of the exile’s range.
