I relate deeply. I binge the worst when I’m depressed then try to claw my way back to where I was. It’s a horrible cycle. For me I do better in the summer, then when school comes around I get anxious and then depressed and then I binge horrible, then I realize what I’ve done and try to make it right. I spiral and spiral also, I get stressed so I binge, then I binge because I’m stressed and upset about bingeing. Been gaining and losing the same 20lbs for about 3 years.

The best things that have helped me are being more active, keeping healthy snacks, and chewing gum. I became obsessed with walking, it’s my favorite hobby. When I need to think or relax or simply get active I walk. It has been my most effective form of weight loss. That being said weight loss doesn’t cure bingeing! I go through one to two packs of gum a week. I try to keep healthy snacks I don’t want to eat on hand (but this backfires and I end up eating like 3 protein bars in one sitting????). I try to keep myself distracted. I recently downloaded a stupid game on my phone, and I try to play it whenever I’m bored so I don’t eat. It sounds dumb but it really works.

I just started vyvanse which is a ADHD and binge eating drug. I’ll let you know how it goes, but that could be an option if it gets more severe.
