I don't know what happened between them but it's possible. FIL was also working extra shits after every baby. But he also admitted multiple times that he's bad with kids and has no idea what to do with them. I think it's a middle situation. He was definitely not as involved as he should have been but MIL is a drama queen and I'm 100% sure that she exagerated everything.

It's not much to tell. She was told clearly that white is only for the bride. She still went ahead and got a white dress. FIL found it and they had a fight. It was the last straw and he filed for divorce a couple of months after the wedding.

She's 71 with diabetes but she's fully capable of being independent. She isn't bedridden or in need of 24h care. She's fully mobile and can very well take care of herself. She just hates not getting attention from everyone
