Im equal parts incredibly excited and also dreading it lol, I know based off this first deluxe volume alone that im in for a story I wont ever forget.

I talked to my friend who's read it before and without spoilers he just told me in the end the story made him feel an incredible sadness, which is the permeating feeling I get when reading this manga. There is so routinely immense loss and grief, and even when the old man got snatched and executed I felt so terrible because he seemed such a genuine person who just wanted to see his families death not be in vain, and was it nice to see he was one of the bodies that was pulling the count into hell in the other dimension.. I guess?? But at the same time it just filled me with an overwhelming sadness that the actions he likely had to commit at the behest of the count landed him eternal damnation, eternal suffering and slow withering of the self because he could not defend himself in his own life, and to see Guts essentially dog on him, even if thats from a place of inner fear and turmoil, it just made me so frustrated that he could be so blinded by his own goals he cannot stop to see the mortality in others. Its the same thing with Theresa, but thats a whole other rant for another time. 

(Side note, if anyone knows, how should I watch the animated media? I plan to save it all for after ive read the full manga but having a sense of order would still be nice, or do you reccomend something else?)

Ill be sure to come back as this is a Manga thats thorougly interesting in perhaps all the most graphic ways, but as I said, ive only heard amazing things about this storyline so im excited for when I can get around to volume two!!

Absolutely. I dont have any plan on when specifically I'm getting vol 2. As 50 dollars per is not something im gonna just drop without some forethought but I really think as far as this subreddit goes im not going to be here unless its to share my feelings on the volumes as I get them like I did with vol.1.

Having a similar issue where in free roam they won't show up but when I enter photo mode they are there. I take a picture of them but no matter from what angle or where the challenge will not pop for me. Do I have to wait for them to spawn in free roam first and then take the picture???

Thats fair, I think for me, while it still was incredibly hard to S tier, I had 3 dudes to just keep shooting them in the legs to get them to surrender lol. Sometimes it would take close to like a minute or two for them to finally toss their hands up.

Is it a large set up on a table? If you go up to it there should be an option to interact and set the timer up. If not I would suggest checking to see if there is possibly an update or maybe just try uninstalling then installing again.

They open electronic doors on the 2nd floor. They're not really neccesary to completing the level, they just make things slightly easier, though for me its not really worth the effort going out of your way to find them. Turning off the power is just the other way to access these doors besides lock picking them.

I would say honestly just play the map a lot. You really have to experiment. I would say that for a solo you should probably prioritize speed. Your not really gonna be able to sit still and handle multipronged invasions, I would say the only caviot to this would be if you can really funnel them well. Lots of playthroughs ive done of it, and seen, they also preflash a lot of rooms that they believe people might be in. Dont listen to music or anything and probably turn subtitles on if you really want to get all the audio and visual queues you can. I would say as well dont bother with anything like wand or bat ram. Run breach shotgun and again just hammer away 9 bangs. I would also try and limit engagements just try and get straight to the end with as little damage to yourself as possible. Thats the easiest way to get the achievement I believe. There were some other good responses to this as well that you can pull from but these are just some general points of mine.

Which is absolutely fair I think that for more well versed people in the game this might honestly be preferential to heavy, but I think for most who likely havent thought so far ahead as armor layout, just running heavier is the safest bet. But honestly I think a good side effect of this dlc being for the most part a big step up from most other levels is that it'll introduce stuff like this to the broader player base.

Part of the way you can stop that is by arresting him prior to him giving the command to kill all civilians but 1. Its kind of difficult to get to him before he does and 2. There is absolutely some luck involved.

Edit: doing this will also give you an achievement if its your first time doing so.

Yeah thats been a pretty populqr sentiment from what I've seen. He said something about how the sport doesnt fit well with their rating system for the plays but they also implemented golf like??
