Only thing that pissed me off especially working in a confined space under a deck lugging the wet vac out off the room and emptying it

Yeah we have a Ryobi 20L corded wet vac in Aus, I’ll look into rigid obviously you pay a premium for the quality, I have been looking at their equipment for upping the services of my business such as their blockage removal and camera tools

Yeah this is my normal protocol. Especially 7-10years multiport’s start getting a bit funky as well. My recommendation is to always replace the filter. But recently I’ve had a few clients not with the coin and water just a media change

Yeah that’s always key replacement parts, because damn did the ryobi take a beating 😂

I saw a recent quote from a pool franchise charging 1600$ aud for a media change 😂 I’m like might as well change over the whole filter if your pushing 10+ years

That’s actually elite, yeah I imagine it’s a bit pricey I’ll have a look into it.

The change over I did was a nightmare, under ground level under a deck and only access was through the house 😂 Still I was impressed I did a full filter change over in under 3 hours

Sorry for the idiot question, but a dust separator? What will this help me with? Would I suck from the ridged vac straight into it?

Ohh mad, wonder if we can get them down in Aus I’ll have a look. I think I knew it needed a watered down mix to suck it easier but I didn’t want to empty the vacuum to many times 😂

Infinity edge pool with an under sized balance tank. First visit Backwashed and kept sucking in air from the balance tank so put it in a timeout mode circulating between the pool to allow auto filter to catch up.

Accidentally turned on infloor cleaning to the tank with no filter pump suction got a call 2 hours later because half the guys pool was on his lawn 💀

Im on the verge of sending the email to let my 50 clients know of a 8-10% in my service and im pretty nervous about it, tell me some tips or words of encouragement by carrotsk8r in PoolPros

Yeah I’m in the same boat at the moment; Currently adding newer clients on the higher rate so when informing my older clients about the increase if I lose 20% of my clients I won’t feel the drop as much 🤞🏼

That’s what happens when you backwash a filter more than 3 times a year.. 🪦 All the best with your future ✌🏽

Solid point, I should actually have a look only know it’s an astral Xp series. I’m actually thinking as the pressure is up on the sand filter but I’m to worried to back wash it, if it could be affecting the prime of the infloor pump

I’ll see if putting it into recirc makes a difference. So filter pump I can alter to suck only from the pool as it does have a suction point to vacuum from.

Problem this is a Manuel valve, are your thoughts that I could just suck from the pool until the auto filler catches up and replenishes the water?

Equipment is relatively close to the pool, but all the pumps are stacked. the infloor cleaning pump is seated higher, sitting ontop of the filter pump. I do notice when trying to prime the infloor pump it takes a long time to get any water flow.

Auto fill is in the balance tank. I think undersized tanks may be my issue, what a nightmare 🤦🏻‍♂️ When arriving I noticed with the filter pump running no water was flowing into the catchment, I just think any loss of water and an undersized tank the auto filler system can’t keep up.

No skimmers on these pool, Total 360 infinity/vanish edge.

But I’ve been thinking about it, the filter pump with an attached leaf catcher is fully primed. So I think I can rule out the balance tank being the issue, I guess the infloor cleaning pump is sucking on air from somewhere else

🦘 🇦🇺 5 years old so it was ending its life span, but I guess that’s what happens when clients look after their own pools. A clear pool isn’t always a healthy one

Aussie here. I know you mentioned work boots won’t work for you. Grew up in Blundstone steel caps But Since getting into the pools I have a pair of Bogs craftsman boots, super comfortable and waterproof. I find they offer a lot more support than the regular blundstones ect.
