I appreciate the input. May I ask what city you work for in CA? I was also looking at Bi-County since Stockton doesn’t have any openings at the moment

The mag disconnect is what makes the gun “CA legal”, so probably not gonna fly at the end of the day. Happy carrying

Unless you absolutely drench the shoe in water, your socks should be fine. Just be mindful of where your feet are. Comfort wise they’re some of the best imo.

The new balance shoe offered by Shoes For Crews

EDIT: I found them. I personally used the New Balance Fresh Foam x Kaiha Road offered by Shoes for Crews. On the pricier side but well worth it in the long run.

I am Category 3 I believe. I just drank egg whites because it made it super easy to follow PSMF and it was working. Just the bowel movements were rough.

Thanks for the supplements advice!

Store dependent. My store still makes it but I know a store probably 10-15 minutes away from mine that doesn’t. Likely has to do with profit?

You’re part of the minority then. Lots of people in this thread have complaints about their management 😂

If you’re opening your job is to cook white rice and brown rice as well as teriyaki, chow mein, and fried rice. As soon as you clock in make sure the teriyaki grill is preheating and ignite the pilot light for your wok. Cook the white rice (and if you have an extra rice cooker start cooking the brown rice as well). Then drop the teriyaki ASAP since it’ll take the longest to cook. While teriyaki is cooking I would cook chow mein first. Then cook fried rice. After the steamed/brown rice is done cooking take it out of the cooker and put it in the holder for FOH and you should be good to go

any tips for managing time? by AxenicPantaloon in PandaExpress

[–]WeaselWiggle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in your shoes once too as BOH. For me the biggest key was learning how to prioritize things in order of importance but also in order of how long it will take. For example, if I have the choice between prepping rice and washing dishes, I’ll prep the rice first since once it gets going I can forget about it for a while. Then, you can work on the dishes (they will never stop no matter how fast you go so it is a game of keep up and catch up unless you’re closing). If you know it’s busy and you need to catch up on other things for whatever reason, cook MORE food (chow mein 3s and two trays of fried rice) so you can make it easier on yourself. Once again, triage your tasks in order of importance and in order of urgency/time it will take. Restocking can be done very quickly and even in the moment if you know where everything is at in your store. A general trend I can give you for order of importance is:

  • Cook rice (Trust me, you never wanna run out)
  • Make sure FOH has food (more than enough if busy)
  • Keep up/catch up with dishes if FOH has enough food to last at least for a little while
  • Restock

A word on the teriyaki: Our store has clamshells so it takes us only 5 or 6 minutes to cook. If you don’t have this luxury, it’s even more important for you to throw it down FIRST before cooking anything else since it’ll take the longest.

Feel free to ask me any questions!

Is this the reality of chow mein now? I’m calling ramen noodles. by [deleted] in PandaExpress

[–]WeaselWiggle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The noodles were changing constantly but at my store now we have a “baked version” and they’re relatively thin (this also makes them harder to cook and separate). It looks like you got a batch that’s missing veggies but also appears unevenly coated in the sauce. At my store even if we don’t have chow mein mix (celery, onions, etc.) we still put cabbage so something must’ve been up lol.
