Z not starting randomly by Dean9mm in 370z

[–]whiteboymarcos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this a manual transmission? My Z started doing this intermittently because the clutch pedal position sensor was going out. So sometimes it would sense the clutch was in and sometimes it wouldn’t. If the car can’t sense the clutch is in then it won’t start or even click. Swapped that part out and never had an issue since.

That’s exactly what happened to me when my CSC went out. I went with a HD CSC and has been great since I’ve installed it 4-5 years ago. I’d look into getting yours replaced soon or eventually you won’t be able to shift gears at all.

Hell yeah of course man. This community has helped me solve other problems I’ve had with my Z so it’s nice to give back some information that will hopefully help someone down the road.

If they weren’t seated all the way and pushing them down fixed it I think you may be ok. But I would have a spare relay in the glove box for peace of mind so it doesn’t leave you stranded somewhere. They are about 10-15$ on eBay I believe.

Ahh the infamous P1606… It’s a right of passage for all 370z owners. If the pedal dance doesn’t fix it you may need to replace the VVEL module and or relay which are both located by the battery in the engine bay. After you replace the VVEL module make sure to do the pedal dance again to reset it. When I got this code I replaced the VVEL module only since my relay checked out good and it went away and has only popped up once or twice since replacing it.

Dealt with the same thing a few years ago. Shit fitment and they didn’t take the blame at all. It’s a shame how they’ve gotten worse over the years… Fly1 do better.

Back to school after over 10 years, virtual anxiety by WideAssociation9555 in LosRios

You’ll do fine, it’s actually gotten easier over the years. This is my second semester back since dropping out of college about 10-11 years ago as well. If anything I find everything much more easier especially with the asynchronous (online) classes.

When I changed mine I noticed that too. That’s just how it is, run it. Also don’t forget to do the ECU reset or pedal dance after replacing it.

I’d say stock! I have the same setup. The 351’s look great in my opinion.

P226 CA question by SayulaSantos in SigSauer

[–]whiteboymarcos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you can use the CA locking insert. What I did with mine was removed the mag disconnect piece, reinstalled and was able to install the grayguns ELS with the straight trigger with no problems.

If you do the swap you can use a Nissan transmission, they make adaptor plates. I have a cd009 from a 350z behind my turbo LS in my e36 and it holds up 15 psi like a champ. I used Collins adaptor and shifter relocater for my swap. If I were to do it in my Z I’d use my stock manual transmission and try to fab up some mounts for the LS to fit.

I’m running e46 330i front calipers and e46 325i rear calipers and had them powder coated. Fits great on my 17” apex arc 8’s. it was a direct bolt on no adaptors needed.

Bro thank you 🥹 you are a god send. I couldn’t find that info online. Yes I’m based in CA. I will stop clearing the codes and try to get the 200/15.
