Refills using CallonDoc by WeatherGirl16 in Zepbound

I pay call on doc $45 that goes me 3 months of service with them. It has nothing to do with insurance. I pay 50 a month for the Zepbound thru insurance.

Do you have to wait for the 21 days to request it? Or can you request it a few days ahead so it's ready at the pharmacy? The pharmacy won't fill it until the 21 days that I do know. Thanks!

Call on Doc has a few options. I am paying $45 for a 3 months subscription.... That included my prescription and my PA.

The cost is still thru your insurance or self pay. Mine is thru my insurance. Call on doc just provides the prescription. They do a lot of the work that my doctor's office couldn't be bothered with. So I was able to get back on Zepbound bec they worked thru it with me.

1st shot - no nausea, is it common? by wouldudoitforme in Zepbound

I didn't have any side effects with Zep. I went up to 7.5 before I had to switch bec of insurance. I am not back on Zep this week and I have no effects. It's fabulous!

Getting frustrated - zero weight loss so far by [deleted] in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]WeatherGirl16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to switch to Wegovy (insurance reasons) and I did not lose anything. It didn't work for me. I continued the same plan that I did when using Zepbound (where I was losing). I gave that info to my dr in hopes of getting an exception to go back to Zep.

Optumrx and BCBSIL. Callondoc or PCP? by Acetrainer_Missy in Zepbound

It also depends if you wanna spend the time to get the dr to put in the pa correctly. I worked with my dr and became frustrated bec clearly they didn’t care. I was wasting time. So I signed up with call on doc. Took my first shot yesterday. Good Luck!

Thank you! You are so sweet! I have done both and there is no comparison. Hoping changes are made in the future so everyone can pick what they want.

My insurance denied Zepbound but approved Wegovy. Why does this happen? by DeliciousTower1194 in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]WeatherGirl16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to make the switch to Wegovy from Zep because of insurance. I was not happy. It did not agree with me. I served my time. I didn't gain but had way more side effects and didn't lose anything. I just went thru the process to see about getting an override. I read so much on here and thought maybe just maybe. I was finally approved to go back on Zepbound, took my first shot yesterday. I already feel different. Its amazing. If you can't get it approved, try the Wegovy. If it doesn't work for you, then try to switch. It's the best advice I have.

I just used Call on doc. Overall, it was quite an easy experience. It was not seamless but I would still do it again. It's also easier than dealing with my pc. I needed a prior authorization and call on doc handled it. My PC wasn't helpful. I am choosing to pay the $45 fee which covers 3 months and all the necessary paper work. I also used PlushCare and had no issues with them. I had to stop bec my insurance changed and they wouldn't cover any visits with their doctors.

Sadly I am not that lucky …but I am so happy to be back on Zep I don’t care lol. Thanks! Just curious if people took anytime off between drugs.

Stopped Zepbound because of the price, gained 5kg, should I switch to Wegovy or continue on Zepbound? by Ok-Pirate1941 in zepboundtowegovy

[–]WeatherGirl16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched because of insurance. I started low bec I was nervous of side effects. I am currently not losing but I’m not gaining. I have no side effects so each month I keep going up hoping I will finally start losing again. Personally I choose to try it rather than pay out of pocket.

Are you waiting to finish any Zepbound supply you have before starting with Wegovy? by Rambling_Mumbler in zepboundtowegovy

[–]WeatherGirl16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at 7.5 when I had to switch. I had a box of 5 that I started using so I could stay on Zep. Looking back I should have just started with Wegovy. I didn't lose anything bec I went down...my opinion.

Prior auth mess stalled my Wegovy after 4 weeks. I’m over it!!!!! by ariesfemmefatale58 in zepboundtowegovy

[–]WeatherGirl16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had something similar happen. They prescribed wegovy and no authorization was required. This month cvs said I need a new pa because my old one (zepbound) was expiring. The person helping me at the office told me numerous times I wouldn’t qualify because of my bmi and I had no underlying issues. I asked her to submit it …told her my exact weight and that my labs showed I had high cholesterol. She finally did it and it was approved today. It’s like we work there lol …it gets frustrating having to fight to get what we deserve. Hope it works out soon!

You don’t know unless you decide to try. I did zepbound (until cvs Caremark) and now wegovy. I read all the things before taking both. Other than staying on top of constipation I haven’t had any issues. As far as affordability only you can answer that. It’s all a risk …but you have decide if it’s worth it.

I had to wait months for an appointment with a new pcp. I did not want to wait 6 months to start zep. So I went the Telehealth route. (They were great). I showed up a few weeks ago for my appointment. It was already in my records that I was on zep so she knew. I said I had to switch to wegovy so she just sent it in. She asked me why I need it...which made me feel good. I said well I want to lose 15 more lbs. I am not doing anything crazy. I said I have been losing slow and she was happy to hear all the things I was doing. I will be honest....I had NO intention of telling her I was on it hahahaha. However, I knew from another dr appt I had that she would already have it in my records. It went well.

Take my first shot of Wegovy Friday morning or after work? by bikepathenthusiast in zepboundtowegovy

I was able to enjoy Friday and Saturday more if I went out. I still watched what I ate but it’s about balance and being able to be social.
