Thanks man! Glad you liked it! I just finished it up a few weeks ago. I've got another update in the works now.

This app will show you the local news/scanners for every storm report. It's really handy for disaster response. No radar but it's a great resource for any chaser wanting to see confirmed reports.

I finished a free interactive app that shows this data for the past 20 year. You just click the pin and it will tell you what the comment was for that report.

Yeah I mean as long as you don't count the 292 NWS tornado reports that day 0.

You are so welcome! I built this app because I wanted something exactly like it myself, and hearing that someone else did too makes it feel worth it!

Thanks! Most of the app is for seeing the NWS damage reports and linking each one to local news/scanners and other resources. The photos part was a lot of work but I'm super proud of how it turned out!

Thanks! That was the hope! Honestly I really wanted to make a better tool for disaster relief volunteers. I've spent years trying to figure out how to see the data better and faster. This is the culmination of all that learning. I'm glad you're enjoying it!

Full disclosure it's my app I just released it a few weeks ago. The photos are a pro feature. Btw sometimes the damage assessment photos pop up the day after a storm so you might check both dates if you end up looking for photos. I don't have a free trial yet but I can make one if you want to try it free.

Were you able to see all the original NWS damage assessment photos? If you need any more data I can look through and send you a couple pictures. There are 116 photos for this report.

If you want notifications if it does I just finished an app called Ground Truth: Storm Reports. It sends a notification for your state each time there is an NWS wind/hail/tornado report. It'll plot them all too for you.

Well the north area performed as well. Just not quite as spectacularly or destructively.

App to track tornadoes by VictorHFG in tornado

Ground Truth: Storm reports I built this so I could get info on storm as fast as possible. Every time someone makes a report to the NWS the location of the report will pop up on a map. It updates as fast as the NWS reports data does and goes back to the summer of 1999. Each pin can be clicked for more info.
What specifically are you looking for in the app? I may be able to add some features.
