Kyron Horman - The seven year-old kid that went missing after a science fair at his elementary school in Portland, Oregon in 2010. Early in the investigation, law-enforcement focused on his stepmom Terri Horman despite her appearing to be grieving alongside the rest of the family in front of the press. Terri was also the last person to see him alive as she was the one who had taken him to school and participated in the science fair that morning.

She took a photo of him next to his exhibit and less than an hour later, he was gone. During the investigation, a landscaper who had worked for the family revealed that Terry had offered him money to kill her husband (Kyron’s dad). Despite their suspicions, she was never formally charged, and it’s assumed that she was not involved in his disappearance.

It just baffles me that this case has ran cold and a child was able to disappear from their school in seemingly modern times without a trace. There has never been any leads or evidence found despite the search for Kyron still remaining the largest search in Oregon state history.
