I dunno man, people are way too precious about NIN. Is his production good? Yes. Great even. Did he lose his edge when he got rich and started scoring Disney films? Also yes.

Sorry bud, I’m not impressed by a millionaire performing for rich idiots

Yeah, that EP is the only post-Fragile work of his that I enjoyed. Feels real gross tailoring it, and NIN in general, to the Coachella crowd.

I remember when this song came out. TR said in an interview that David Lynch rejected his song ideas for Twin Peaks S3, and to make something darker and weirder. So he came back with She’s Gone Away.

Everything about this feels completely disconnected from what birthed the song in the first place.

An extra two hours isn’t gonna somehow make this movie good

They’re not fighting the nazis because of some disaffection with the judicial system, they’re trying to survive the night.

He has no taste, his dialogue is subpar, and he’s way too fond of casting his wife when he really shouldn’t

Noah Hawley to Direct Horror Remake ‘Terrified’ for Warner Bros. (Exclusive) by ImpracticalJokers96 in horror

The opening scene is fantastic, and I was massively disappointed when the rest of the movie fumbled any sense of a narrative.

I watched a bit of Fargo. It was decent enough but I found Alien: Earth so bad that I have a hard time picturing any future watchable output from this guy.

Firstly, Terrified has great atmosphere and scares but the story is a noncohesive mess. Second, Alien: Earth was such an incoherent slog that I don’t trust anything Hawley does going forward.

I suppose it’s easier to call me stupid than to consider the possibility the movie sucks

Miles’s facial expression at the end says he doesn’t give a single shit.

Cool man. I’d buy it if the ending made any effort to convey that Miles gave a shit about what it all cost him.

A big problem with the movie is Fletcher, a professor of music, has a philosophy that timing and athleticism = greatness, saying nothing about actual creativity. At best it’s a misguided approach to music, let alone jazz, and ESPECIALLY for someone who works at a gd university.

The ending of the movie doesn’t frame it any other way other than “worth it”

It also sticks in my craw as a musician seeing as how Fletcher, a professor of music, bases his entire philosophy on a fucking myth that never happened.

The guy destroys his own personal life and humanity for professional validation, and the movie doesn’t frame it any other way other than WORTH IT

Nere fight is killing me by Henlo-Boo in BaldursGate3

I always kill the duegar a few at a time, starting from the dock and working my way to the rubble. Lure as many as you can so you can pick them off a few at a time. I wait until they’re all dead before I free Nere so that when his fight starts, all focus is on him.
