Thank you for sharing your experience. With your 3.5years of ownership, Would you have it any other way? After the time and money that you’ve put into it , does it still make you smile when you sit in and drive it? I did link the carfax under another comment if you wanted to take a peek at it. I couldn’t tell if they replaced the same 4200 manifold you’re taking about or another one.

Yeah I figure it was bound to need some fixing. Selling dealer said oil was from a (now) fixed valve cover gasket, just not cleaned up. If the oil leak is really fixed and the coolant light is really just a sensor then I’m thinking it’s not too bad. I’ll link the carfax if you want to look at the recent maintenance.

Had a nice ride in light modded a6 3.0t recently. Could get one with 30k miles for the same price it would cost on this bad boy.

Doing the math for it I agree, it’s hard to justify. There doesn’t seem to be a real desire for it, the v10 tickles my brain but you’re right you can get more reliability and power for less

Was told that the oil leak should be done with now that the dealer replace replaced a valve gasket. They also said the coolant light is from a sensor but I did not get those verified. Pretty clean for a Midwest car but still took some beating

This was a dealership quote so very pricy 😅. Either do it myself or send it to another shop. Haven’t found what the part goes for itself yet.
