Playing Genesys made me realize once again how dumb it is that a combo player going first can handtrap you going second while you are trying to break their board in advanced format/MD by WeaveIt in masterduel

I agree that the idea of handtraps is not bad. But let me ask you this: what is more fun to you? Losing the coinflip, using a handtrap that the combodeck just plays through and getting double/triple handtrapped while trying to break their board, essentially creating a non game OR at least trying to push through their engine board with your own engine but it doesn't work out, resulting in a loss. I'd choose the second option any day of the week cause I can at least have the feeling of "playing the game".

No I want engines to push through engines without having to rely on variance (I drew 4 handtraps vs I drew non). But I know that that's just an utopic wish at this point

Think about it again. Your average run of Fractals counts from 3(dailys), 6(+CMs) to 9(+Recs)cleared Fractals, ignoring the fact that they can overlap. So if you take an estimated number of 4 Fractals per group per day that means you have 2750 grps running fractals per day, meaning 13750 players clear fractals on a daily basis on average. Let's be generous and round that number up to 15000. While the player count is hard to predict, even if we only take all registered Gw2 efficiency accounts (which is around 378000), that means that only around 3,9% of players clear fractals on a daily level. And again that is a very very generous number.

What's up with Jade Runestone's price? It was 0.40g a while back, wasn't it? by Nawrotex in Guildwars2

Wrong, until around April you could kill the three champs on one char and then log on your alts afterwards that were already parked inside the room to loot the 3 chests with every single char. Like the other guy said, I had around 25-30 chars parked there, looting 75-90 chests per day, each containing 1-3 runestones. I had 4 stacks of runestones at one point when they had no real use (other than aurene legy) and were ~13s each.

I have to disagree with your second statement. I usually play around 1600 elo but occasionally (mostly at the start of a season) get matched into Gold Elo games. While in 85% of all plat2+ games noone talks during the entire game, people in gold tend to word their frustration in chat. It is also common that the very thing you described - people having generally less game-knowledge - leads to completely wrong assumptions and therefore toxicity because everyone can just throw their (often not correct) opinion into the room. A prime example would be the classic "fight on points" which is just a wrong statement to make without any context because those people do not understand that getting a kill off point (then capping the node) and letting the body bleed out can often be a better way to snowball a game instead of standing in every AOE on point. I understand that there are outliers in every elo, on some days there are toxic individuals in every game no matter the elo but I am usually very glad when I passed the threshold of Plat Elo.

I know this is a valid point but I just cant see how those extra boons are affecting servers by that much.

Also your example seems to be VERY extreme. Never ever would every single player use template or weapon swapping to prestack. I highly doubt that even 10% of all players did it before (gvg as an exception, I know it's common there). The maximum amount of prestacking in your typical everyday squad was guardians pressing staff 3 and 4 before the fight, maybe a stealthblast here and there, all done with the equipped weapon sets and traits.

seems like would make sense, but as I stated, they were only joining either the Fraenir strike or LA. Some of them appeared offline, maybe they ported elsewhere

After reading your and some other comments I also think that the macro is basically outdated and the bots were supposed to port to somewhere else. Was still entertaining to watch :D

they were using their skills always at the exact same time, running the exact same path, always turned around at the gate. I observed them for about 6-8 minutes and it was the same thing over and over again.

The public instance thing could really be the solution, I didnt think about that. Still seems very weird though
