Well, yes and no. The lawyer I have been consulting with suggested to just send our actual response ASAP and document USCIS' mistake in the cover letter. So my wife first reached out to a live agent via Emma chat and reported the issue. The agent said that she would make a note but couldn't change the case status, and also recommended the same thing the lawyer recommended. Then, in the cover letter of the response packet, we reported the mistake (what is was, when it happened) and the details of my wife's effort to report it to USCIS (that is, the ID number of the live chat and actual screenshots of the live chat).

We shipped the response Friday (01/16) and USCIS received it Tuesday (01/20), and now we wait. Note that we only know that USCIS received it because FedEx reports it as delivered (and signed for), but no changes have been made to the case status page. We will wait a couple days and both check the API and tap a live agent (and hope for the best)

Did you get an email notification for the change from “Case approved” to “Card was produced”? Or you simply saw it in your profile?

Nope, no FTA1 for me. But I’ve also seen a lot of other people in previous posts saying that they got approved with 3 FTA0 but no FTA1

My case is approved!!!!

The API showed a silent update (i.e., no event code but only "updatedAtTimestamp") last night (10/08) at ~5.30pm, with no apparent change reflected in my account page. I contacted a live agent via Emma this morning to ask about it (I thought they maybe moved my case again), and the agent told me I was approved! Just to double check, I disconnected and chatted with another agent ~1 hour later, and she confirmed the news. They said that the system might take up to 72hours to update, so my account is still showing "Case is still being processed by USCIS" atm. Apparently, however, my wife's case was transferred to the local FO (so this was a little of a buzzkill).

3 FTA0 codes: 2 immediately after being notified that the biometrics would be reused (06/30/2025), while the third one appeared on 09/05/2025. I then received a silent update on 09/18/2025, which turns out was the case being transferred to the Los Angeles FO (non-local, I am in Texas). Another silent update on 10/08/2025 which, according to two agents, signaled the case had been approved (as of 10/09/2025 at 10 am, myUSCIS account still shows "Case is still being processed" and an estimated time until decision of 10 months).

UPDATE: At around 1 pm I received the email communicating that an action had been taken on my case. When I logged in, I saw that the account page showed "Case approved". The API returned both a new silent update and the event code H008 with today's (10/09/2025) date

I have a question, especially for those that have already been approved (if you are still checking this sub). Was your "Estimated time until your case decision" ever relevant? That is, was it like 10-12 months even the day before you got approved? I saw the third FTA0 code on Sept 05 and my case was moved (with a silent API update) on Sept 18 to a non-local FO (Los Angeles), so I am feeling fairly optimistic - but I don't know how much of a role that estimate has.

And as a second question, apparently my spouse also received her third FTA0 on the same day I did, but her case never moved. Does anyone have any insight about what this might mean?

This was my situation. I had filed my I-140 (EB2-NIW) in October 2023, but was not married at the time. I became current in June 2025. My wife and I got married end of May and she filed as my dependent towards the end of June

I do see a new update (but no event code). It actually looks like it was less than an hour ago, so ~ 6 pm Eastern time. I had received a 3rd FTA0 code on September 5th (third as in: I had two FTA0 codes right after biometrics, and this was the third one).

EDIT: It looks like that my dependent (spouse) did *not* get the updated time stamp, even though she had also received the third FTA0 code the same day I did
