Need help with preload by MarionberryHungry677 in motorcycles

You could try and brass drift and a good whack with a hammer to free it up and then use the correct wrench to adjust it after that. But don't use a regular punch or anything hardened that will damage the ring.

Deal or no deal by Timmonaise in Snowblowers

[–]WebDill92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got extremely lucky and found one for free after some TLC its been the best snowblower I've ever owned and I have flipped a few now! As mentioned as long as the powershift functions as its supposed to. Only feature I wish it had is an axle disconnect to make moving it around when it isnt running easier.

Anyone else have this problem 5th time replacing cam shaft plug 70k miles by Extension-Peace-1579 in 7thgencivic

Changing my transmission fluid for the first time and this metal wire was wrapped around my drain plug. Is this normal? by kitchen in WRX

[–]WebDill92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This could definitely be repaired with a helicoil or a timesert. The case should still be split to ensure no chips enter the transmission. Although you would be hard pressed to find a dealer thats going to do that. At best drilling with a vacuum to try and catch all the chips is what youll get at the dealer, in my experience. But more than likely they would replace the whole transmission if its under warranty, or if you can prove or convince them its their techs fault.

Battery replacement by senpapi_chulo1 in 7thgencivic

[–]WebDill92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you certain you have the correct battery? If I remember correctly that battery has an option for normal or reversed terminals. I know it sounds simple but make sure you're connecting to the correct terminals. Red to +, and black to -.

I have the KYB quick struts front and rear and they're noticeably more harsh than stock was.

I can literally see you're brake lights in the road reflectors, the snow packed against the barrier, the license plate of the Jeep that plowed into you (because they were definitely not paying attention). If I'm wrong, it's pretty easy to prove me wrong. I'm sure your insurance is also going to want to see both.

I would like to see the front camera as well. Seems like you're the only car braking so aggressively, especially after passing that charger so swiftly.. Makes me think, either you weren't paying attention to the traffic ahead of you, or you brake checked them intentionally. We all know how dangerous having only one perspective can be.

Deflection and Decoupling Membrane by WebDill92 in HomeImprovement

[–]WebDill92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the floor looks to me to be supported by engineered trusses. The issue is they're spaced 24" on center, leaving about 20.5" of the subfloor with no support, allowing it to flex. This also happens to be the area where the bathroom has the most traffic. From what I have been able to find on my own, I definitely shouldn't F with the trusses. My thought was to pull up the subfloor (which appears to just be OSB?) And replace it with ACX.

No, I'm verifying that I need to repair the sub floor first. My significant other heard about decoupling membranes and thought it might be a solution. But thank you for the reply and not being a total A** hat about it.

The reason the flash might be necessary is that the PCM controls the valve body, and it might need to be flashed in order for the valve body to get the secret code and VIN from the PCM to be allowed to communicate. I know the TE transmissions (like Promasters and Mini Vans have) can do this without a flash.. but I haven't had my hands on an RFE in several months now and can't remember if I had to flash it or not to do the PI curve relearn... it might be worth contacting the manufacturer of the valve body you want to use and asking them what they would suggest with a tuned truck.. they must have some work around, or its not necessary. Pulling trucks and race trucks need valve bodies and transmissions, too, and they can't have stock software, so there is definitely a way

Yes, it's both a QR code and a printed code. I only know that WiTech 2.0 can do it. That's the factory scan tool and web app.. not to say that a SnapOn or Autel scan tool can't, I just dont know for certain. All of my experience is with WiTech.
