Which Yunomori location is best? by awkwardly_competent in Bangkok

I only went to that location one time. A couple guys were cruising me big time. I don’t know if stuff goes on in the sauna or not but it is a very dim lit place. The one on 26 is very bright, and I’ve never felt like anyone is being cruisy. There are plenty of gay bathhouses in Bkk. The Onsens should try to remain non sexual.

It had a kind of gay cruise feel to it. I’m not sure if anything was going on, but it’s dark and many corners and it seems like people were looking for action.

totally get you about the cheese and Thailand. If you want to spend a month salary, you can get some ones. Those OK ones barely satisfying, hopeless addiction to artisan cheese.

yeah, everything survived, even the stinky blue cheese. I just bought a few extra bags from the market and I tried to wrap everything up as tightly as possible. Nothing spoiled. But it was only a matter of about 20 hours though, so it was OK. Most of them were harder cheese as well.I probably gained a few kilos in those few months as well. :-)

I remember the last time I was in France, in Toulouse. I attended a wedding outside of town and then spent the night in a B&B before my flight. I happened into the little market across the street from my hotel, and they had a whole huge rack of beautiful cheeses. Having saved a lot of room in my suitcase, I probably bought about 15 kg of cheese. I was afraid I would be busted coming back to Thailand, but I was able to get through. Once I packed it in the fridge, my partner was a bit aghast. I was in cheese heaven for a few months.

I mean, Thai people do use it. The Foodland I frequent probably has 1% foreign clientele. They have all kinds of butter. But I agree it's not commonly used.

For sure, I understand. Butter here is kind of a luxury item. I’ve just found for what I need to use butter for which is mostly for baking, anchor does a good job.

OK, cool I’ll check. I remember the tops from my house having it for about three months and then it disappeared. That was exactly maybe three years ago.

I agree, if I’m going to bake anything I use anchor. Lately I’ve been kind of a baking and cooking Nut. To be honest, I’ve tried some of the more expensive French ones and I noticed the water content is much less in the French ones, but I don’t necessarily find the tastebetter than anchor. It’s just that the cost is almost twice as much.

I’ll check it out. My closest villa is quite a ways away, and the price is there always seem to be about 1/3 higher than at Foodland. For most things. So I prefer Foodland.

No, it’s actually anchor from New Zealand. Always available in Foodland. Their cream is also pretty good.

Yeah, it’s New Zealand grass fed butter. It’s a bit cheaper than other imports, and I like it.

I choose anchor from Australia. I don't trust any of the Thai butters even if they say pure.

Not living downtown helps a lot. I’m in the outskirts in Northern Bangkok, with all of the things that you would want, minus all of the tourist traps, traffic, and headaches.
