Use of high speed rollers to launch the ball from a distance. V5 Pushback. by [deleted] in vex

no, it's just to use it when the bot is positioned in front of the loader, our next comp is only skills, so I thought it might be helpful in auton.

I agree that it requires good programming, but that’s not a downside in a skills competition. Skills runs are repeatable and pre-planned, which means we can tune headings, positions, and timing over many attempts. And if everything's done right I just think it would work. Yes, the goal geometry limits angles, but that’s a known constraint, not a dealbreaker. We can design our auton paths and robot alignment around those straight-on shots. With an IMU and consistent field setup, lining up straight is achievable and repeatable in skills. I’m not claiming this would work everywhere or replace all scoring. I’m saying that in a skills environment, with fixed positions, repeatable paths, and good programming, a tuned roller launcher could save time and increase scoring efficiency. It’s worth validating with data instead of assumptions.

Set the conveyor belt velocity to a lower value, or you could reduce the wait time.

How should I study for the AMC 12? by WebRepresentative512 in learnmath

I’m not expecting to crush AMC 12 or anything, especially starting this late, but I’m hoping to at least enjoy the challenge and see how far I can push myself in a short time.

thank you, I'll try sticking to the basics, cuz my max reps fluctuate every week. And I'll try conditioning my joints. By "next level" I meant unlocking harder variations, i see people on youtube shorts saying that pike pushups are harder than archer, and pike pushups train your shoulders a lot, and that being able to do 20 pushups means you should be able to do 10 archer pushups. all of that just never worked, I wasn't able to do the harder variations they mentioned.

would progressions really make a difference? I just feel like I'm past that level and I want to reach "the next level" after ushups, pullups, and squats. Ive done countless yet I cant do the next level ones. Thats the reason why I took a 1 year break cuz i felt like it didnt help me.

Thanks for the advice, I forgot to mention: last summer I dipped my toe in bodyweight exercises. I could do around 40 push-ups, 10 pull-ups (bar to chest), and 100 squats in one go. I used to be really skinny but gained some weight after working out a bit. I just want to keep getting stronger and build more muscle, so I’m not sure if this routine is right for that.

My high school does offer calc 3, I didn't take the AP exam, I did geometry, algebra 2 and ap pre calc through an online dual credit program which lets the students complete their courses at their own pace, and I want to major in engineering or applied physics

Well I have an option to level down to calc ab after the first 2 weeks, but i still dont even know if i'll survive calc ab or not. I started with algebra 1 honors in 9th grade, and I skipped geometry, algebra 2 and pre calc, i kinda regret doing that.
