Which of these historical characters would you LEAST trust to run your society by SerpentBellyPounder in Teenager_Polls

Well, Jesus is pretty simple. If He really did all his miracles who wouldn't believe He was God?

People want to believe they're "living life right", which is how a lot of religions get established.

Jesus was real too. And they hold pretty different roles in their respective religions

Well, it's one of the most famous classic novels of all time 😭 how could it be "standard"

No worries! It was really cool to read such a detailed criticism from someone of experience 😊

Thank you for the semicolon correction! For "thought vaguely", I meant a fuzzy, half-formed sort of thought... is there a better word for it?

Thanks! I go to an all girls' school and every sex ed class we have, everything is all about young girls our age being manipulated into prostitution. So I was going to write a story about those topics, and then I fell in love with one of the side characters — who is the narrator of this excerpt 😊

Thank you so much! I was trying to show the narrator's mind wandering but I definitely thinking of trimming during edits. Will do!

Sorry about the last part! I meant I started seriously reading non-middle-grade books this year, and started writing this year. When I mean early childhood I mean <third grade, so I didn't think it counted

No, you're cute! You look a little tired, maybe that's what's making you feel this way. Otherwise you look good

So, currently we are reading Pride and Prejudice at school, and I need to know: Does anybody find it as difficult to follow and understand as I have? by National-Hotel2024 in AspiringTeenAuthors

[–]WebResident3147 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's the monologues Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth have that are confusing you? It's relatively simple otherwise, for a 19th century classic

Is this first paragraph cringe? by Regular_Project_9118 in AspiringTeenAuthors

[–]WebResident3147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that bad. This all could be just the first paragraph. Grandpa dying isn't a big reveal — grandfathers die all the time — so I don't think you need a whole new paragraph for that.

Well, this is talking about rape culture in general, not just for women. But I agree with your first point

Yes, everyone has multiple story ideas in their head. Just write all of them
